[GIST Tour] “There is no free AI”… How to bring about the true meaning of digital twin? Kim Jong-won, Dean of the GIST AI Graduate School, highlights the challenges businesses face when integrating artificial intelligence (AI). While companies anticipate enhanced user satisfaction and efficiency from AI applications like chatbots, they often encounter unexpectedly high costs, including investments, maintenance, and management labor, which can lead to financial losses instead of improvements. Despite the goal of reducing labor costs, maintaining AI systems frequently proves expensive. To address these issues, Kim emphasizes the need for developing advanced digital twins in AI integration, which evolves through four stages: mirroring, monitoring, modeling & simulation, and tethered. Each stage increases the sophistication of how AI manages environments, culminating in full automation. He asserts that effective digital twins require high-quality data for managing space and time, warning that merely accumulating data without strategy will not produce successful results. Kim also cautions against indiscriminate data accumulation, noting it can lead to inefficiencies if not organized. Effective digital twins rely on refined data integrated within a unified platform, with a digital lake serving as essential storage for both structured and unstructured data. Developed machine learning program which effectively does PII data masking in document i.e. for documents like Aadhar Card, it does masking of the Aadhar number and saves he modified version This uses deep learning algorithms and can handle any variation in the image and it performs with near 100 percent accuracy. Putting AI knowledge to use... it helps organization comply with RBI policy of masking PII information.

One tries to explain and one tries to please. My experience with multimodal generative systems, particularly in the context of automated analysis, has been underwhelming. While 'tricking AI' into giving bad answers is generally not very useful, some testing does reveal something about the trustworthiness. And my experience at the moment is that the systems that integrate various types of nets without a clear, defined purpose struggle with reliability, even on simple tasks. Refining the prompts has done little to improve their effectiveness, unless I make it extremely clear what I expect from the results, which ultimately defeats the purpose of automated analysis. I've found the simplest test involves reversing the order of the data, e.g., switching from past to present and present to past. Ps. While I am not trying to put the product down, the same can be seen in the reviews of the Humane AI Pin. It often fails to include, from a human perspective, very evident aspects such as location when describing surroundings. Certainly amazing and kinda fun, but not very useful ATM.

They think outside the box, challenge conventional wisdom, and tirelessly conduct experiments to validate cutting-edge solutions. Roni Gurevich from Cycode and Vered Dasa Levy from Autobrains shed light on the unique skills and backgrounds that set researchers apart from developers. It's a distinction that's crucial for companies aiming to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI. Personally, I find the work of these researchers absolutely fascinating. Their ability to marry advanced academic knowledge with practical problem-solving is truly inspiring. It's no wonder that research-focused companies like OpenAI and AI21Labs place such a high value on continuous learning and adaptation. Moreover, the successful implementation of AI solutions relies heavily on the expertise of these researchers, who bridge the gap between theory and practice. 📚 As the demand for AI expertise continues to soar, with McKinsey predicting a 25-29% increase in STEM professionals by 2030, the role of researchers will only become more vital. Organizations that foster a culture of constant learning and innovation will be best positioned to attract and retain these brilliant minds. Furthermore, investing in the training and development of local talent could be a key strategy in addressing the AI skills shortage in Israel. It's an exciting time to be in the field of AI, and the pioneers driving these innovations deserve our recognition and appreciation.
