With over 25 years of work, including time spent leading sales at American Express and finding top talent in FinTech, I’ve seen firsthand how remote work has reshaped our industry. The shift to remote work means companies in software sales can find and keep talented people from anywhere. This is great but also means we need smart ways to attract and keep the best sales folks. Simple Strategies for Today’s Sales World: 1️⃣ Flexibility is Key: Salespeople today want jobs that fit their lives, not just a paycheck. Offering the chance to work from anywhere can make a job more appealing. 2️⃣ Keep Learning and Growing: Good salespeople always want to get better. Offering training and chances to move up in the company can make your company stand out. 3️⃣ Pay Well and Offer More: A good salary is important, but so are bonuses, stock options, and benefits that take care of them and their families. 4️⃣ Be a Team, Even From Afar: Creating a welcoming and supportive team culture is important, even when everyone works from home. This makes people feel connected and valued. 5️⃣ Use Great Tools: Giving your team the best tools for their job not only helps them work better but also attracts people who like using the latest technology. By using these ideas, companies selling software can hire great people from all over and keep them happy and productive.
