#Indigo Ranked 103rd out of 109 Global Airlines 🙄 #India's very own "Andhon Main Kana Raja" of the Indian Airlines industry 😔 #Apathy, #Overconfidence or do the flyers "Do Not Care Enough" which the Indigo Airlines Management is taking undue advantage of? This includes me, and at times we are not vocal enough for Airline Regulatory Authorities to take cognisance of their fallacies. At 15.2 crore, a record number of Indian flyers in flew in 2023. Domestic air travel in India surpassed pre-Covid levels and IndiGo had a market share of 60.5%, while the combined market share of Tata group airlines was 26%. And to be honest, well without much good options I am guessing we are forced to chose the "Best of the Worst". If you are compared to #airIndia, well you are seeing down the barell, as it is. Hopefully that will change with #TataGroup taking over the national icon. IndiGo has been ranked as one of the world's worst airlines, as assessed in the #AirHelp Score report for 2024. This places the Indian airline towards the lower end of the list, with #Tunisair occupying the last spot. The report additionally features #AirIndia at 61st and #AirAsia at 94th in the rankings. But the funny thing is India's largest airline InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which run's IndiGo, also recorded its highest yearly total consolidated revenue of Rs 71,231 crore for financial year 2023-24 (Apr-Mar), up 27.5% year-on-year. It has also reported reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,894.82 crore for the quarter ending on March 31 (Q4) in the financial year 2023-24 (FY24). Net profit of the low-cost airline zoomed 106 per cent compared to Rs 919.20 crore reported in the year-ago period. I am sure #Indigo and few other Indian carriers can do much better, especially since its operating in one of the most largest and populated domestic and international travel hubs of the world. It seriously needs #investments in; 1. #TimeManagement 2. #Reporting Accurately 3. #Cleanliness 4. #CustomerService 5. #FlightOperations Management 6. #Staff Operations 7. #Roster Management 8. #Safety 9. #AfterSales Services 10. Entertainment Systems 11. Treating flyers with #care and #respect (because of them - you exist) Flexi-pricing definitely is making them rich, at our behest. #worstairlines #indigo #interglobe #interglobeaviation #airlinerankings #worstairlines2024 #globalairlinesrankings #airlinesrankings

AirHelp Inc. has released a list of the best and worst airlines of 2024, with Brussels Airlines emerging as the unexpected champion, soaring from 12th place to claim the coveted top spot, dethroning Qatar Airways after its remarkable five-year reign. This Belgian carrier's dramatic ascent tells a story of strategic transformation and customer-centric innovation. Meanwhile, United and American Airlines defied expectations, securing third and fourth positions respectively, despite a year marked by significant disruptions. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Tunisair bore the ignominious label of the world's worst airline, languishing at the bottom of the 109-airline ranking. Its poor performance symbolizes the challenges faced by national carriers struggling to meet modern traveler expectations. IndiGo too languished near the bottom, ranking in the bottom 10. Notably, budget carriers and national airlines dominate this list, highlighting systemic challenges in delivering consistent, high-quality service. The report, led by CEO Tomasz Pawliszyn, meticulously evaluated airlines across multiple dimensions: on-time performance, customer claims processing, and passenger experiences spanning food, comfort, and service quality. Customer feedback emerged as the critical differentiator. Airlines that listened, adapted, and prioritized passenger experience rose to the top, while those remaining static found themselves struggling. This annual assessment acts as a strategic roadmap for airlines worldwide, challenging them to continuously innovate, improve operational efficiency, and most importantly, truly hear their passengers. As global travel rebounds and evolves post-pandemic, these rankings serve as a powerful reminder: in the competitive skies of modern aviation, customer satisfaction isn't just a metric—it's the ultimate destination for all things aviation. IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd), India's largest airline, has been ranked among the world's worst by AirHelp a European agency processing air passenger claims. The 2024 report places IndiGo 103rd out of 109, igniting debate over the survey's credibility and the airline's quality of service. Key Points: - AirHelp's Ranking Criteria: On-time performance, customer feedback, and claim processing are the three main factors. IndiGo scored 4.80, ranking low on the list. - IndiGo's Counterargument: The airline disputes the findings, citing high scores in punctuality and low customer complaints as per India's aviation regulator, DGCA. - DGCA's Statistics: IndiGo is reported to have a mere 0.2 complaints per 10,000 passengers and leads with an on-time performance rate of 71.9%, according to DGCA's October report. - International Standing: In contrast to IndiGo's low ranking, airlines like Brussels Airlines, Qatar Airways, and United Airlines top the list with scores above 8.0. - IndiGo's Position: With a 60% domestic market share and over 100 million passengers in 2023, IndiGo pledges to continue delivering timely, affordable, and smooth travel experiences, focusing on service quality and customer satisfaction. - Sector Perspective: The controversy underscores the variance in ranking methodologies between international bodies like AirHelp and national entities like DGCA, each offering distinct viewpoints on airline performance. #AviationNews #IndiGo #AirlineRankings #Travel #CustomerExperience #AviationIndustry #Airtravel

I noticed airfare prices have recently increased. Is this why my flight needs to be rebooked at a higher price? Dated 27/3/2024, we booked flights for two passengers from New Delhi to Geneva with a layover in Istanbul via Turkish Airlines. One booking gets confirmed– #BusinessClass for one passenger and another remains unconfirmed #EconomyClass for two passengers. We've reached out to both airlines where they confirmed that #Turkish Airlines is not confirming the booking. #Turkish Airlines, on the other hand, is advising us to speak to #Indigo Airlines. The lack of confirmation is causing us considerable inconvenience and uncertainty. This situation is particularly concerning because there's a chance one of our reservations (PNR) might be cancelled even though the flight is still operating. we have been forced to rebook the same flight again at significantly higher fares due to current surges? Big news in the skies! Airlines are bracing for the end of the ‘revenge travel’ boom. Here’s the scoop: The Boom: Over the past two years, airlines soared high on ‘revenge travel.’ People, tired of lockdowns, flocked to the skies. 🚀 💰Record Profits: Carriers like Ryanair - Europe's Favourite Airline and Emirates raked in cash. High ticket prices and strong demand offset costs. 😱Plot Twist: Ryanair just dropped a bombshell! Airfares will be ‘materially lower’ this summer. 🎟️Why? Passengers are resisting price hikes. They’re going back to basics. 🔄 Normalizing: The Turkish company Pegasus Airlines says it’s time for ‘normalization.’ Post-pandemic frenzy is unwinding. Airlines are more than just their rankings—they’re about the experiences they deliver. IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd)’s placement near the bottom of the 2024 AirHelp Score may be alarming, but it also reflects the growing importance of customer experience in aviation. Operational efficiency is crucial, and IndiGo has excelled in maintaining one of the most demanding schedules in the world. But as the rankings highlight, passengers now value more than just on-time performance. Comfort, service, and overall care are becoming non-negotiable. This report is a reminder: consistency in operations needs to be matched by consistency in customer satisfaction. IndiGo has the scale and presence—what’s next is making passengers feel it’s the best choice, not just the fastest. Looking forward to seeing how they rise to this challenge. #CustomerExperience #Aviation #IndiGo #AirlineIndustry #India
