The Water Quality Assurance Fund is an innovative program with a financial mechanism developed to encourage water quality monitoring in rural areas of #Ghana, #Kenya, and similar countries. This report, produced by USAID/REAL-Water, summarizes baseline data collected in Kenya and identifies several areas for improvement in water safety management such as water quality knowledge, water treatment, communications and consumer perceptions. By 2050, Africa's population is projected to reach 2.5 billion, presenting both a challenge and an opportunity to transform its agricultural landscape into a global powerhouse for #foodsecurity. 🌍 Investing in African agriculture is an investment in the future, aligning with 13 out of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Yet, despite a shared political vision for African agriculture, global investment lags behind. African countries have committed to allocating at least 10% of national budgets to agriculture through the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Program, but the follow-through is lacking.
