Today, the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal published its judgement on the Le Patourel v BT collective claim. The claim alleged that BT abused its dominant position by charging unfair prices. The tribunal has found that BT’s prices were not unfair. Keystone Partner and expert Dr. Stefan Hunt served as the behavioural economics expert for BT contributing to the assessment as to whether the prices were unfair. Notably this is the first competition litigation case in the UK where behavioural economics testimony has been heard.
