Your vote matters #GoVote Democracy thrives on participation, and every vote counts—whether it’s for a president, a senator, a local mayor, or a referendum on important issues. On Election Day, Americans come together, regardless of their backgrounds, to express their values, concerns, and hopes for the future. So, whether you're voting for the first time or have been voting for years, remember that your voice matters. Democracy is not just about electing officials; it’s about making sure everyone has an equal opportunity to participate and be heard. The strength of a democracy lies in the active participation of its people, and every Election Day is a step toward a more inclusive, just, and representative future. So, get out there, make your voice heard, and participate in the democratic process. Your vote is your power. #GoVote #Democracy #ElectionDay

The UK Election System is no longer fit for purpose. While we had only two major parties in the race, the first past the post system worked reasonably well. As more viable "opposition" comes on stream, first past the post leaves us with the ridiculous situation that the ruling party may only have 20% or so of the support of the electorate. It is time for an independent review of the electoral system - a re-evaluation that is not subject to the misinformation, scare tactics and downright lies that were put out by the major parties (mainly the Conservatives) at the time of the AV referendum, to scare people out of changing the system. I believe that AV would have been a far better system, avoiding the need for people to vote "tactically" because they don't want their vote to be wasted, rather than voting for a party whose policies they actually support. It would at least mean the winning candidate would have to have a majority of support from the public to win, and more people would be likely to vote knowing that their vote could never be "wasted".

#Vote Today is the final election day of the European Elections in 2024. It's crucial to remember the significance of each vote. Voting isn't just a right—it's a responsibility and a privilege that shapes our future. And their slogan is spot on: “Use your vote or others will decide for you”. It is also an important election day for some Swiss federal votes regarding the environment – our future! For everyone who is entitled to vote, here is a little reminder why: 1. It’s the most direct way to influence the decisions that affect our daily lives. When you vote, you have a say in the laws and policies that govern us. 2. Each vote helps elect representatives who truly reflect the diverse perspectives and needs of our communities. 3. History has shown that collective action through voting can lead to significant societal changes. By voting, you contribute to progress. 4. Many have fought hard for the right to vote. Honouring their legacy means using this hard-won right to continue building a fair and just society. And being a little biased here even more so for women who in Switzerland are only allowed to vote and stand for election since 1971… #EUElections #Vote #SwissFederalVote #MakeYourVoiceHeard Like my content & want to learn more? 🔔 ring the bell on my profile 🌐Karen Miller & follow #DiVerseConsulting for future posts

For those who have asked me about the questions on the ballot, please see this informative summary from Senator John Albers of which I wholeheartedly agree.
Early voting continues with a record turnout. You can vote in person early, on election day, or by mail. My tradition is to vote on election day and often times as the first person at my precinct. You can follow the links below for times and locations. Cobb County Elections - https://lnkd.in/gpsBEwZj Cherokee County Elections - https://lnkd.in/g7mw4D_y Fulton County Elections - https://lnkd.in/g4pnfemq Ballot Questions There are 3 questions on your ballot which I fully support and helped sponsor. The 1st and 3rd questions will lower your taxes! The 2nd question relates to the GA Tax Court which is a move to the Judiciary Branch and will help ensure a sound legal process and keep Georgia the #1 place to do business. Please note more specific information below. -Senator John Albers

If you see voting as a privilege, then you’re making a big mistake. We are living in a world where very few take this act seriously. Today, standing in the booth and casting my vote in the MP elections felt different. It made me think about all those who fought hard so we could have a say in our future. It made me realize: > Each vote is a voice that contributes to the collective decision-making process. > It's a chance to have a say in who will lead us and shape policies that impact us all. > Voting is a way to honor the sacrifices of those who fought for our democratic rights. By exercising our right to vote, we ensure that the government is held accountable and represents the people's will. For those who say, it doesn’t matter whom you vote or that it’s all a setup: remember, every vote counts, and the outcomes of elections hinge on a handful of votes. We can transform each of our states and our country only by standing together. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
