The most difficult thing for athletes, especially during a training cycle, is to take the needed time off from training to heal when injured. I know this firsthand and have had several instances where I was sidelined from running injuries. It’s important to remember that taking some time off is not going to impact your training or fitness significantly. If you’re like me and have a hard time taking off, keep the following points in mind: 🤔🎯 Research suggests that a break from running of less than two weeks is unlikely to result in significant fitness loss. In fact, short breaks can sometimes be beneficial for recovery and preventing burnout. However, individual responses may vary based on factors like fitness level, duration of the break, and overall lifestyle. In addition, Your current fitness level can impact how much fitness you lose during a two-week break from running. Generally, individuals with higher fitness levels may experience a smaller decline in fitness compared to those with lower fitness levels. This is because they have a stronger aerobic base and muscle memory, which allows them to maintain their conditioning more effectively during the break. However, it’s essential to maintain some level of, such as cross-training or light exercise, to minimize any loss in fitness. As always, work with your physician and medical team on an appropriate rehabilitation and exercise plan. . #injuryprevention #rehabilitation #timeoffisimportant #keepsyouontrack #recommendation #exercisemotivation #juststart #strengthandflexibility #befit #healthylifestyle #lifestyle #longevity #exerciseismedicine #purposefulmovement #foryourhealth #livehealthy #befit #rjhfitperspectivellc #certified #personaltrainer #nutritioncoach #runwalkcoach #nutritionstrengthmovement #doallthree #everyweek #htx #heightshouston (No content on this site, regardless of date, should ever be used as a substitute for direct medical advice from your doctor or other qualified clinician.)

"I need to prioritize work over exercising." . . I have come across many people who say this because of their belief that exercise is going to eat away their time to make money. But let me show you how simple exercise like walking can improve your work. On the left is the brain before walking and on the right is the brain after 20 minutes of walking. On the left image, the brain oxygen levels are low and that hurts creativity and focus. But on the right image, it shows that as you start moving, your brain starts getting more oxygen allowing the creative juices to flow better. In fact, a study found out that walking boosts your creative output by 60%. And the last time I checked, more creativity and improved focus didn't hurt anyone. So, share this post with not just the working class but with parents & teachers who ask the kids to stop playing because their exams are around the corner. Hope this helps! ----------------------------------------------- If you are looking to improve your health, visit www.tanaymandowara.com and fill in the details. #Health #Fitness #Walking #Cardiovascularhealth #Focus #Lifestylemedicine #Healthcoach

If you want to protect your body as you age, then you need to be strength training even as you get older! We can continue to practice this extremely healthy and important habit by: 👉 Training with light to moderate weight in higher rep ranges such as 10-20 reps or 8-12 reps more often. This has been shown by research to be easier on the joints, and will allow you to still build muscle & strength while also building strength & resiliency in your joints. You can still continue to train in the lower rep ranges with heavier weight, but do so less frequently and further away from failure (2-5 reps away from failure). 👉 Prioritizing your form and technique. This is going to vary from person to person based on bone structure & anatomy and target muscles, but I recommend watching videos, hiring a coach, and recording yourself performing different exercises to find the best form for you! With all of this in mind, PLEASE continue strength training as you age, and if you haven’t then please start! Strength training is one of the best things you can do for your overall health and is only going to help the aging process in the most positive way!🙌 - Coach Austin Message me the words “coach me” for help on your health and fitness journey! 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 ⭐Fact: sticking to a workout routine is tough enough without imbalances or injuries sidelining you. And while we all have our favorite exercises, the truth is, a well-rounded fitness plan will include moves that you may not enjoy. For me, it's this side plank that's on the list of non-favs. But want to know something that may be hard to believe? In the 18 years I've been training and competing at the highest level in Kettlebell Sport, I've never had an injury. 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲. Because I utilize this approach. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗙𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀? Avoiding injuries is about more than just stretching or warming up. And it doesn't have to be about transitioning to more 'gentle' workouts either. It's about building a balanced, resilient body. That means strengthening all your muscles, not just the ones you see in the mirror, in all planes of motion. Chronic tight hamstrings or a nagging lower back? These are usually signs of imbalances that can lead to bigger problems down the road. And they can be remedied. 𝗗𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲-𝗖𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀 In midlife and beyond, we need proper programs, not arbitrary same-old sessions. My clients receive personalized, comprehensive training designed to address their unique needs and goals. The result? They feel great, look great and can enjoy the activities they love – whether it's running an 8K or an 18-mile trek through the jungle, like my 62-year-old client Reggie, without worrying about getting sidelined by pain! ➡️Are you ready to play the long game and build a body that's strong, resilient, and ready for anything? Most people’s worlds don’t revolve around health and fitness So to assume that in order to achieve a healthy and fit body you must make healthy decisions ALL of the time isn’t just unrealistic… It’s setting you up to fail Most people in most situations would do well to practice healthy habits MOST of the time This is sustainable This is realistic This allows you enjoy the process more and not put unnecessary pressure on yourself It keeps you from giving up because you weren’t “perfect” It allows you to stay out late with friends, eat your favorite foods, and fully enjoy your vacation without feeling “guilty” all of the time Build discipline and habits into your life that become who you are MOST of the time Not ALL of the time That imperfect but relentless consistency You’ll fall in love with the process And you won’t look back ----- 🎯 If you need help with your own fitness and/or rehab journey, I can help in 2 ways: 1️⃣ Work with me 𝟭-𝗼𝗻-𝟭 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: I’ll perform a detailed assessment, put together an individualized program based on where you’re currently at and where you want to get to (your goals), and then coach you through the process of getting there ➡️ Tap below to fill out my application form (I’ll respond within 48 hours): https://lnkd.in/gZ5Uey7B 2️⃣ Join over 2000 others in my app: if you don’t need 1-on-1 coaching but need structure, my app includes 𝟭𝟬 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 and 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲𝟬 guided mobility, strength and stability routines within 𝟮𝟱 categorized sections covering the whole body ➡️ Tap below to get full access to my app 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 for your first 𝟳 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 and then 𝟰𝟰% 𝗢𝗙𝗙: https://lnkd.in/g8DHxEVC ----- #fitnessmotivation #fitnessadvice #fittips #fitnesstips #healthadvice #personaltraining #fitnessquotes #exercisemotivation

Chances are high that time is one if not the most limiting factor holding you back from being the fittest version you can be. You have a demanding job with high responsibilites. You might have a family and kids. Your partner deserves your support and attention as well. Reality is: the idea of spending 1 hour at the gym everyday is simply not achievable. The good news is: you do not have to spent that time every day to - build muscle - lose fat - get stronger - feel well in your own skin 2-3 well-designed trainings/week consisting of full body workouts COMBINED with an increased overall daily activity can bring you pretty far! Book a free consultation call here: https://lnkd.in/dSXKYj8B People highly underestimate the big impact normal activities of daily living can have. Take a look at your normal day and think: where can I make a difference? - increase your daily step count - take the stairs instead of the elevator - go for a walk with the kids to the playground and engage in playing WITH THEM rather than scrolling on your phone while they climb, run and crawl - on a home-office day: set a timer and do 10/20/30 squats every 45mins - et cetera... If this does make sense to you but you still do not know how to get started you should message me today and we will get you going together!
