When we look at our Itihasas and Puranas from a geographical-perspective, many of the incidents detailed and rajyas mentioned are found in #Afghanistan, #Pakistan, #Nepal, #Tibet, #Myanmar, #Bangladesh and #SriLanka. After the troubled history that we all shared in the last millennium, all these have become countries in their own right. #Bharata (India) has always wanted to have friendly relations with ALL of them. But today when we look at our neighbourhood, it looks the most troubled for a variety of reasons. Among the many reasons, one that I find extremely worrisome is the import of a ‘certain western religion’ that fails to treat the followers of other religions at par. This tenet of theirs is like a ‘raktabija’ that will spread in different manners. #Bangladesh today is a product of this thought process. I honestly wish peace for her people, and I am sure #India will safeguard our borders.
