"𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻." – 𝗝𝗶𝗺 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗻 Last week, I attended the first Kajabi conference held in Australia, and it left me thinking deeply about the value of attention. I found myself at a table with a particularly confident and strong character. We were each given two minutes to share our biggest learnings in business-insights that could help others on their journey. But something interesting happened. The conversation, driven by this one person, took over the space, and the opportunity to listen and learn from each other was overshadowed. Initially, I was fascinated by the dynamics, but that quickly turned to frustration. 🙄 At one point, I decided to interject and make space for others to share. It struck me how much value we can miss when we don’t give our full attention to those around us. Each voice brings a unique perspective, and when we don’t make space for that, we lose out on potential game-changing insights and ideas. This experience made me reflect on how often we might unintentionally take up space, not fully honouring the time and voices of others. 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴; 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱. 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? 🌟 Going Beyond the Scope: Because It's an Amana! 🌟 In every project, there’s always that extra mile—the one that's technically "not in the scope." But when you're truly invested, going beyond the scope isn’t just about doing more—it’s about fulfilling an Amana. For those unfamiliar with the term, Amana (أمانة) means trust or responsibility in Arabic. It reflects a sense of moral duty to deliver more than just what's required—to give your best effort because you've been entrusted with the outcome. - But here's the challenge: sometimes, when we put in extra effort, people may assume it's simply "part of the job." The lines blur between what’s expected and what’s over-delivering. So how do we manage that? It comes down to two things: 1️⃣ Clear communication to ensure expectations are aligned. 2️⃣ A deep sense of responsibility that drives us to do everything we can to make the project perfect. At the end of the day, we’re doers. We do and achieve by putting in the hard work and going the extra mile—not because we’re told to, but because we care. When we see our work as an Amana, we’re motivated to ensure success, delivering more than what’s asked for because we know it’s the right thing to do. Consistently fasting taught me the importance of self-discipline, which is essential for success in anything you do. ✔️ 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬' 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Fasting made me more aware of what it feels like to be hungry and in need. This experience taught me to be kinder and more understanding towards others who may be going through tough times. Consistently showing empathy helps build stronger relationships, be it in your personal or professional life. ✔️ 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲: Ramadan is a time for reflection and spiritual growth. By consistently praying and focusing on my faith during this month, I felt more connected to my beliefs. In any area of life, sticking to regular practices of self-improvement leads to personal growth and fulfillment. In summary, Ramadan taught me that staying consistent in our actions and attitudes can lead to positive changes and a deeper sense of purpose, whether it's in our faith or other aspects of life.
