My days as a project manager (simplified and in random order). 1. Convincing people to do something. 2. Connecting people so they do something together. 3. Explaining people what actually needs to be done. 4. Doing things myself. 5. Letting everyone know what me and the others did 😄. 6. Repeating as many times as needed till the tasks are done and results are visible. Tell me what things you do as a project manager.

Day 10 in becoming a project manager I will be sharing an interesting topic I learnt today. - Cross Functional team They include team members who have different backgrounds, types of expertise, and job functions. Members of a cross functional team are referred to as"T-shaped professionals." each member have their unique perspective and experience, they contribute their own specific areas of expertise. Managing cross functional teams effectively requires the project manager to: . Clarify goals: let them know their roles and the common goals of the project. Make sure you define key items. . Get team members with the right skills: make sure you have team members with the right skills set for each project. . Measure Progress: regularly communicate with your team members to check their progress. Communicate successes, delays, or issues to the team to know how the project is progressing. . Recognize efforts: make sure each member of your cross functional team recognizes the value of their efforts each step of the way.

Happy Friday everyone. One thing that came to my mind today was the small victories achieved this week by the team I’m working with. I reminded myself that before enjoying the big results that only a project end of cycle can give you, the small victories along the way are what makes the journey so worthwhile. Seen a group of people to grow and do better is what makes Project Management so rewarding. I love my job! #projectmanagement #projectmanager

I understand that navigating the challenges of being a project manager can be daunting. As the backbone of your projects, many people rely on you to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You often face numerous demands from your team, clients, and stakeholders—sometimes exceeding your role—because you want to keep everyone satisfied. However, the pressure to meet everyone’s demands can take a significant toll on you. You find yourself torn between saying yes to each request, which leaves you feeling frustrated; saying no, which leaves you feeling misunderstood and worried about others’ opinions; or not being asked at all, which makes you question your strengths and value to the project. It feels like a vicious cycle. Despite the power of this cycle, it isn’t unbreakable. Is it time to make the break? DM me for a chat.

What's the hardest thing about being a Junior Project Manager? It's been a long time since I was a junior, so it would be really helpful to hear your challenges so I can help the more junior PMs I work with. Here are a few things I've heard from those in more junior positions. ❗️Not wanting to ask questions for fear of wasting the more team members you work with or thinking you should know the answer? ❗️Finding a job when you don’t have experience? ❗️Getting valuable time on projects as a more senior Project Manager is running it? ❗️Not sure whether to focus on doing more training, certifications, or theory versus focusing on gaining more experience? ❗️Struggling with the confidence to speak up and take action even though you’re sure you know the answer?
