More interesting sessions that I founds from the big list of re:Invent videos: AWS re:Invent 2024 - [NEW LAUNCH] Practical generative AI using Amazon Nova (AIM398-NEW) https://lnkd.in/eyp2Hs-B A re:Invent recap wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Nova. Amazon is clearly positioning itself as the go-to provider for running GenAI workloads, offering vertical integration across silicon, models, and services. Nova may not outperform Claude in every area, but it’s nearly as capable—and significantly more cost-effective. I’m excited to explore its potential in upcoming projects. AWS re:Invent 2024 - Deep dive into Amazon Aurora DSQL and its architecture (DAT427-NEW) https://lnkd.in/e3gBcwsk This is another can’t-miss AWS launch—Aurora DSQL. If you’re into the technical details, this session provides a fascinating look into the system’s design. While there are some current limitations (no temp tables, no foreign keys, and limited PostgreSQL compatibility), it’s still incredibly interesting. With strong competition in the hosted Postgres space, it’ll be worth watching how this service evolves. AWS re:Invent 2024 - Unlocking AWS modernization with Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) (PEX307) https://lnkd.in/ek3DVVm2 This session provides a solid overview of modernization pathways supported by the Migration Acceleration Program (MAP). The business benefits presented here align with what I’ve observed firsthand in successful cloud modernization projects. If you’re considering modernization, this is worth your time. If there are any other sessions you found interesting or have comments on the above let me know! #aws #reinvent #cloud #ai
