Ever dream of a job that feels "just" right? Whatever that is, that, is your "dream' job. Not knowing what our dream job is can leave us feeling stuck. I'll admit that when I took a leap of faith and decided to be my own boss, I didn't know exactly what my dream job looked like, but I did know that it wasn't what I was doing at the time. It turns out that in my case, my dream job wasn't a job at all, but a "dream career/profession" where I would have the flexibility to use my skills and knowledge to change lives and transform businesses. ... and that's how I became a coach, mentor and consultant! With the benefit of hindsight, here's advice I would give my 'past' me that can help you avoid wasted time in your career (or professional path). Ultimately, it's about figuring out what you love, chatting with folks who do those jobs, and being open to giving new activities a try. It's all about finding your happy work place that resonates with you. Got ideas on your perfect job? Let's hear them! ~~~ ✍🏼 Do you agree or disagree? ♻ Reshare if I got it right. #careerdevelopment #changemindset #fortune500businesscoach

🙏 Stop Complaining About Your Job: A Wake-Up Call 🙏 It’s all too easy to slip into the trap of negativity: "I’m not paid enough," "There’s no room for growth," "Everyone else is advancing while I’m stuck," "I’ve been in this same rut for years," "My job is so stressful," "My life feels so monotonous." 😞 But take a moment to reflect on those who don’t even have the luxury of a job to complain about. 💔 Imagine people who, in sheer desperation, apply for every job they come across—anywhere that might offer a glimmer of hope. They endure countless rejections, apply to dubious ads, and face endless interviews, all driven by a deep desire to provide for their families and find a little relief. 🍲 They keep going, even when the path is uncertain, motivated by the dream of bettering their loved ones’ lives. 👨👩👦 And here you are, with a job that others would cherish beyond measure. Yet, you take it for granted. 😔 You compare yourself to those who seem to have more, forgetting that your current position is a blessing many would give anything for. In doing so, you miss out on appreciating the value of what you already have. Let’s shift our perspective. ❌ Stop viewing your life through the lens of comparison and dissatisfaction. Instead, focus on what you have and be grateful. 🙌 Remember, every journey to success is unique. Your path may be long and filled with obstacles, but with patience, perseverance, and a heart full of gratitude, you will reach your goals. 🛤️ One day, you’ll look back and realize that all the hardships and struggles were stepping stones to something truly remarkable. 💪✨ #CareerGrowth #ProfessionalDevelopment #Gratitude #MindsetShift #JobSatisfaction #CareerAdvice #Motivation #Inspiration #WorkplaceWellbeing #SuccessJourney

Ever wondered if you're in the right role, company, or job? If this thought has crossed your mind, don't ignore it. Even if you're not ready to act on it immediately, take a moment to consider it. Ask yourself: If this is true, what would I want from my role, company, or job? Reflect and make a list of your aspirations. Yes, there are many factors that need to align for a change to happen, but don't let these aspirations fade away. Keep them in mind. You never know; they might inspire you to explore new possibilities. Remember, "The heart knocks in beats, and it's up to us to create a life from them." Our heart communicates through small glimpses and feelings. It's up to us to complete the picture. My journey began when I realized that despite being celebrated in my job, I wasn't truly enjoying it. I knew there was something more to explore. Today, I am thriving in my new role, loving the creative opportunities I get every day. Nothing is more empowering and refreshing than that. There’s a reason you’re not fulfilled in your career. In 2009 I lost my job in the economic crisis. The uncertainty of when I’d find another job was real. Companies didn't start hiring again for another year. But it forced me to do something many of us don't want to do. I've seen it so many times. People taking the first job they're offered without meaningful consideration. Not because they need the money. Financially, they're OK. But because they can’t sit with discomfort. That internal dialogue telling them that: → busyness and achievement determine their worth → they can't cope with the uncertainty → they'll be judged and laughed at → they're not strong enough or capable enough to face the situation they're in. So they take the first job they can get. To remove the discomfort instead of working through it. Leading them to choose jobs and companies that aren't right for them. And leave them feeling worse. When I lost my job, I didn’t have a choice. I was forced to sit with the fears. Of uncertainty. Of judgement. But here’s what happened; they passed. Death wasn’t imminent after all. And underneath all the fears, I found peace. From which I was able to ask: → What choices led me to where I am today? → What do I want out of my life and career moving forward? → What truly matters to me? → If I could design my future, what would it look like? Only by sitting through the pain, did I find my truth. Did my “dream” happen straight away? No. It took time. I had to build up both my resources and my confidence again. But it did happen. 10 years into it, I can say it’s the most fulfilling career I’ve had. I know how hard it is to sit with discomfort. In truth, I’m facing it now. But I also know that if you don’t face your fears, you’ll never learn from them. And you’ll keep repeating patterns and choices blocking you from the fulfilment and growth you seek. What discomfort are you avoiding right now? #careers #personaldevelopment #reflection

You are Capable of Amazing Things! Sometimes, the path gets a little rocky for everyone, whether you're actively on the job hunt or feeling stuck mid-career. Who are we kidding, we all seem to be facing challenges in some capacity. That's okay. It's normal. Don't let anyone tell you differently, and above all, don't let negative self-talk get the best of you. I've really been making a sincere effort to talk kindly to myself since the holidays. I'm not sure why I decided to make this change but I know I was my toughest critic. I realized I was so hard on myself but where was that getting me? You all have unique talents and strengths, and the world needs what you have to offer. Lately, I've found coloring to be a great way to relax and refocus. This quote I'm working on right now really resonates with me, and I hope it does with you too. Remember, you are capable, strong, and worthy! Now go do some amazing things no matter how big or small because the world needs them right now! #motivation #inspiration #careers #jobsearch #yougotthis

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗚𝗼 𝗮𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱. Have you ever set your sights on a goal, only to have it slip through your fingers?🤔 It’s a common experience in both our personal and professional lives, and it can leave us feeling defeated. But what if I told you that not getting what you want might be the best thing that could happen to you? A few years ago, I faced a major setback that changed everything. I had my heart set on a career milestone, poured countless hours into preparation, and envisioned the day it would become a reality. Then, just like that, it didn't happen. I was devastated.🙍♀️ But here's the twist🪢 That disappointment led me to an unexpected opportunity. In the process of reevaluating my path, I stumbled upon a new direction that I hadn’t considered before. This detour opened doors I never knew existed, leading to personal and professional growth beyond my original aspirations. Reflecting on that experience, I realized that the setbacks and unmet goals were not failures but redirections. They pushed me to explore new avenues, develop resilience, and ultimately find a path that was even more fulfilling than what I had initially planned. So, the next time things don't go as planned, pause and look for the hidden opportunities. Sometimes, God has something even better in store for us. Have you ever faced a setback that led to something unexpectedly great? I'd love to hear your stories. #ProfessionalGrowth #CareerJourney #Resilience #LinkedInCommunity

But What If... 😨 How many times have you found yourself asking, "What if?" Countless times, right? Especially when life doesn’t seem to be going according to plan. During tough moments, we tend to wonder how different things could have been if we had made another choice or taken a different path. How we could have avoided the challenges we're facing now. 🧐 I used to do this a lot during my job search until I realized that it’s a form of self-torture in two ways: 1️⃣ Dwelling on the past, which we can’t change, and 2️⃣ Creating "what if" scenarios that may not have led to anything better anyway. Now, when I face difficulties, there’s only one "What if" I ask myself: What if I give up now and miss a life-changing opportunity? And instead of overwhelming me, this question fuels my strength and hope. 💪✨ Make sure you're asking yourself the RIGHT "What if." ✅ #TuesdayThought #lessons #jobsearch #motivation #mindful #keepgoing
