CFW Week 4 Forecast – Will it be Miller time in the Big House? All eyes are on the state of Oklahoma College football Week 4 promises to be a good one. There are several blockbuster games on the menu. The state of Oklahoma takes center stage this week. The two biggest games in the country are being played in Norman and Stillwater. In Norman, Tennessee (3-0) takes on Oklahoma (3-0). The Vols provide a serious challenge for the Sooners. Can Oklahoma handle it? In Stillwater, Utah (3-0) visits Oklahoma State (3-0). This showdown pits Okie State’s offense against Utah’s defense. Which one will prevail? Bret Bielema and Matt Rhule match wits. USC invades the Big House. Texas and Duke have their final cupcakes. Will FSU fall to 0-4? The Ivy League begins play. My predictions for this week’s Top 10 games. https://lnkd.in/eG7AnqD

CFW Week 3 Forecast – Will Billy Napier be fired on Sunday? A bit of a weird and strange week This is a bit of a weird week in college football. There are no games you can really get your arms around. There are no games that knock you off your feet. The Week 3 games seem to be lacking in excitement, enthusiasm, whatever. Last week, we had Texas at Michigan. This week’s equivalent is Alabama (2-0) at Wisconsin (2-0). Close, but not quite the same. Last week, we had the Colorado-Nebraska revenge game. This week, there are no revenge games. We thought the Georgia-Kentucky game was going to be good. But it’s looking like a dud, after South Carolina trashed Kentucky (1-1) last week. Don’t get me wrong. There are some good games this week. But they are like big movies with poor acting. Big movies with poor scriptwriting. Big movies with poor sound tracks. Something’s missing. Hopefully, once we get into the weekend, all that will change. Hopefully, these games will turn into blockbusters. Hopefully, some of these games will knock your sox off. The voice of Darth Vader, Mufasa and “This is CNN” went silent this week. https://lnkd.in/eG7AnqD

Yesterday the The University of Texas at Austin Longhorns crushed the Florida Gators 49-17 in a game that actually was a bigger blowout than the final score indicates. UT should move up in the rankings this week while Florida could be dealing with a question of who might get fired first - the men's football coach or the men's basketball coach. Now while it is clear that UT is about 85x better than the Gators in football this year, it is also clear that both states have some exceptional banks. Texas Capital and Seacoast Bank are prime examples of those. Sure, there are others in each state; however, I am just going to talk about these two today. One thing that really impresses me about both management teams is that they are not into making excuses. They basically tell it like it is, whether things are good, bad or somewhere in the middle. In my mind, this reflects very positively on a management team and an institution. They don't point fingers at other individuals, institutions or outside factors when things don't go their way (look towards Washington DC or Utah this weekend for those types of examples). Rather, these management teams deal with it, incorporate the reality into their outlook and move forward with a focus on executing well for clients, employees, communities and all stakeholders. Well done by both of them. #doyourwork #askhardquestions #dontbeabagholder #bankbros2025 https://lnkd.in/gst2UVAt

Top 25 UNLV loses Starting QB because certain "representations made" to him were not upheld after transferring to UNLV. He'll sit for the remainder of the season and redshirt before presumably transferring to another school. This is huge! UNLV is seen as a top contender for the G5 CFB playoff bid after starting 3-0 with 2 wins vs power conference opponents. It's a new era, and athletes have the ability to pushback, redshirt or transfer when commitments aren't upheld. Will we see litigation similar to the Rashada situation with Florida for inducement? Will we see more athletes deciding to opt out or redshirt at schools when the athletes expectations are not met? How will situations like this impact the potential House settlement?
