Resume writing.... A skill which most job seekers wished they were taught in highschool properly. That's probably why I get asked ALL the time about what the ideal resume should look like.   And here are 5 most common questions I get asked.   1️⃣ What should I be writing about? The key is to incorporate the essential keywords and skills relevant to the position you're applying for. Recruiters often use Boolean searches in extensive databases, so including top keywords related to the role can significantly enhance your visibility. By doing this, you increase your chances of standing out among the multitude of resumes recruiters review. 2️⃣ How do I incorporate my key achievements? Resumes with measurable metrics increase your interview rates. Try and include at least quantifiable achievements in your resume to showcase your skills.   3️⃣ How long should my resume be? The ideal resume length is 1 page for a junior to mid level professional, and 2 pages for a mid to late career professional   4️⃣ Picture or no picture? Most HR professionals would agree that resumes should not include a photograph. In certain countries, photos are even avoided due to compliance reasons.   5️⃣ Do I include my Linkedin profile? Your interviewer will likely check your LinkedIn profile before the interview—just as you might look them up. Having a well-crafted LinkedIn profile boosts your credibility and can help establish rapport, especially if you share any mutual connections! #jobadvisory #resumewriting #resumewritingskills #CVwritingskills #careercoaching
