Ali Aindow (Cornwallis, 2012) is currently taking part in the World’s Toughest Row across the Atlantic. HMS Oardacious are the Royal Navy’s ocean rowing team and this year sees the Royal Navy’s first all-female crew, the Valkyries, take on the challenge. Ali and the team departed San Sebastian de La Gomera, Spain on Wednesday 11 December and we have been tracking them ever since in the Alumni Office! If you want to track the race too, here is the link: https://lnkd.in/epM-p4d8 GOOD LUCK ALI AND THE TEAM! Outstanding Ali! Great to see a former CCF cadet doing so well in her RN career and continuing to lead with an adventurous spirit, that we saw at RHS, in sports, activities and academics. Bravo Zulu! She follows on from another RHS alumnus and CCF cadet, Molly Brown, who was part of the first all female crew to row West to East in 2016 - making her then the youngest female at 20 to row the Atlantic. The ocean life runs deep at RHS!
As a former professional rowing coach of too many years I wish them all speed, calm seas and favorable winds( a tough ask I know.) RHS 1960-68
Good luck Ali Aindow! #SpiritofRHS
I have visited Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua, a wonderful place and very appropriate goal for an RN Crew!
