📯 #SAPBasis Admins! How frequently are you stuck on a late-night SEV1 call, searching for the root cause of an SAP outage and finding nothing wrong in your systems? If you’ve worked with SAP long enough, you’ve probably been there... spending way too much time proving everything is fine on SAP’s end. You’ve probably seen ads/emails with vaporware monitoring dashboards promising to simplify your life or free up time for more meaningful work. While some SAP monitoring tools can display useful KPIs from various SAP sources on one screen, they are always limited to just SAP. RHONDOS takes a different approach. We ingest comprehensive data from the many sources that make up SAP and integrate it alongside the data from the systems SAP interacts with. The #PowerConnect monitoring tool helps identify whether issues lie within SAP or with third-party applications so you can ACTUALLY reduce MTTD and MTTR. Ready to shorten your MTTI (Mean Time to Innocence) using comprehensive dashboards that tell stories across multinational SAP landscapes❓ #sapcommunity #sapmonitoring #sapsecurity

🏆 Today we're celebrating SAP #Basis Day! Our team wanted to share some quotes from our customers who are SAP Basis professionals: "Our Basis team reduced their emergency hours at nights and weekends by over 90% with RHONDOS & PowerConnect as P1 plummeted... when we started monitoring the SAP transactions that actually mattered." "We had that a-ha moment where we realized that what this [PowerConnect] tool provides is much more than what Solution Manager does." "I'm happy with the direction we've taken and I'm happy with the [PowerConnect] tool. It's been night and day since before we had PowerConnect, and now, it's really automated and increased our visibility on datasets that we were troubleshooting manually… It's been great, we've really seen a lot of benefit and we want to continue to build on what we've already created there in terms of the goals and outcomes moving forward." "Where has this been my whole life???" ❕ Additionally, we have a gift to the SAP Basis experts out there: a session dedicated to automating alerts on January 25th. Register here: https://lnkd.in/gk9FH5PM (Yes, we're aware that System Administrator Appreciation Day is celebrated on July 26th). #sapbasis #s4hana #batch #sapmanagement #sapcommunity

SAP TIPS FRIDAY - a one-click SAP performance troubleshooting aid. Click the down arrow next to the SID and client in the bottom-right of your SAPGUI window, then select Response Time to display the performance behind each of your mouse clicks. This is a really simple way to help spot whether certain transactions are running slower than usual, or whether one site is suffering poor network performance. Decommissioning SAP® systems is not something most people want to take on. Many companies will retain their old outdated legacy SAP systems, fearing that they would need the data for auditing or referencing in the future. This becomes very expensive. Maintenance contracts on legacy systems – together with the risk of unsupported hardware failures – result in escalating costs. Object Extractor from EPI-USE Labs allows data from thousands of supported objects to be extracted, with complete control over the output format. I reduce the workload in HR | Increase employee efficiency & satisfaction with HR services | Through SAP SuccessFactors, Microsoft 365, SAP BTP & AI-supported automation
𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗔𝗣 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗧𝗖🚛 In the classic SAP world, the Change and Transport System (CTS) and Solution Manager (ChaRM) are essential tools for ensuring that no untested changes reach production and that systems remain consistent. These tools ensure that all changes are documented and traceable. This not only makes auditors happy 😀 With #SAP #SuccessFactors, on the other hand, any user can theoretically make changes in any system. This often means that the systems diverge and the test results become less reliable as the configurations can vary between the systems. As a result, tests in one system may not be representative of results in other systems. This, in turn, leads to attempts to make a configuration or fix directly in the production system. A vicious circle. It reminds me of the SAP NetWeaver Portal. You couldn't lock the system against changes there either. With all the consequences described above. To address these challenges, the Configuration Transport Center (CTC) provides a solution that offers similar benefits to the classic transport system. With CTC, configurations can be managed centrally and applied consistently to different instances. This not only ensures consistent testing, but also reliable documentation and up-to-date systems. However, CTC does not rule out the possibility that configurations may still be made directly in a system. I hope that with the CTC, SAP will take a further step towards CTS and not only simplify transport, but also prevent configurations from reaching production and test without being transported. By the way, the CTC will replace the Instance Sync Tool, which will be completely discontinued on November 15, 2024.

Performance tuning is essential for maximizing the efficiency of your SAP system, ensuring optimal resource utilization, faster response times, and smoother overall operations. By focusing on areas like database optimization, memory management, and workload distribution, you can significantly enhance system performance. Regular monitoring, analyzing system logs, and adjusting configurations help prevent bottlenecks and ensure your SAP environment runs at peak efficiency. Implementing these strategies will not only improve user experience but also reduce downtime and operational costs. #sap #performancetuning #efficiency #systemsmanagement #itoptimization

BC Sets in SAP In SAP, BC Sets (Business Configuration Sets) are used to simplify and standardize system configuration. They help with managing and transporting customized settings across systems in a consistent and efficient way. Here’s a breakdown of their purpose and use: Key Uses of BC Sets 1. Simplify Configuration: BC Sets capture and store pre-configured SAP settings, making it easy to apply standardized configurations to multiple systems. 2. Accelerate Implementation: During a system rollout or upgrade, BC Sets help accelerate the setup by allowing you to load predefined configurations rather than manually configuring each setting. 3. Ensure Consistency Across Systems: They help maintain uniform configuration across multiple SAP systems or clients, ensuring consistency in settings. 4. Transport Configuration: BC Sets can be used to transport specific configurations from a development environment to a testing or production environment, making it easier to manage changes. 5. Documentation of Configuration: They serve as a reference point or documentation for standard configurations, making it easy to track and understand configurations applied to the system. How to Use BC Sets 1. Define and Activate: BC Sets are defined in a development system by configuring specific settings, and then they’re activated in the target system. 2. Transaction Code: Use SCPR3 to display, SCPR20 to create, and SCPR4 to activate BC Sets. Overall, BC Sets are a helpful tool for SAP consultants and administrators to manage, apply, and maintain configuration settings across different SAP environments. #sap #sapgrc

Among SAP basis professionals, executing System Copy and System Refresh hails as an essential rite of passage. Experienced #SAP basis professionals know System Copy / Refresh activities can be especially time consuming and cumbersome, often days or even weeks of work for a basis team. Modern automation solutions, however, have dramatically reduced the human component of these operations, reducing work time, complexity, and opportunity for error. Our latest whitepaper explores a better solution to automating regular System Refresh.
