Gatekeepers: Essential, But Are They Always Right? Rant alert! Today, I had an experience that highlighted the fine line between protecting a company's time and potentially missing out on valuable opportunities. During a call, I didn't even get a chance to explain myself before being quickly dismissed as "just another marketing call." Not only that, but I was flagged in their system, effectively ending any future chances of connecting. But here's the kicker: this wasn't a generic cold call. It was a genuine recruitment effort intended to assist the company with their hiring needs. Now, I completely understand the importance of gatekeepers. Your role in filtering out noise and protecting your colleagues’ time is crucial. However, interactions like these make me wonder: how many golden opportunities are missed because we mistake them for just more "clutter"? My question to you all is: where do we draw the line? How can we strike a balance between necessary gatekeeping and maintaining an open mind to beneficial outreach? I'd love to hear your experiences and thoughts. #Recruitment #Gatekeepers #BusinessChallenges #OpenConversation

Good post mate. It's important to foster a culture of open communication and collaboration, both internally and externally.
