Dear all, I received the followng from my friend and colleague Tema Milstein. Please spread the word. You are warmly invited to attend the 18th Biennial Conference on Communication and Environment (COCE 2025), themed “Environment and Communication: Shifting Perspectives, Creativity, and Conviviality from the Edge.” I thought you would be interested in presenting and/or attending and also wanted to ask you the favour of helping to share the call among your EcoMedia networks (Flier also attached). Thank you in advance for your help and we hope to see you there! The call for proposals is now open for COCE, which will be held for the first time in the Southern Hemisphere (Tasmania, Australia) from 23-27 June 2025, with virtual participation options available. The International Environmental Communication Association (IECA) and the University of Tasmania’s School of Creative Arts and Media are collaborating to deliver a conference that will blend traditional and innovative formats. We invite scholars, artists, practitioners, and activists to submit proposals in a variety of formats, including research papers, practice reflections, artworks, panels, workshops, and unique participant-suggested ideas. We encourage proposals that explore shifting perspectives on environmental communication and emphasize creativity and conviviality.
