This might sound ridiculous, but my new years resolution this year is “learning how to celebrate” In short, I’m not good at celebrating or commemorating wins when they happen. This is actually a joke on my team at this point as we hit major milestones and I barely take a beat before aligning with the team on the next task. Can any of you relate? 😬 I don’t know where it stems from but I’ve just always been more of a “on to the next” type. This is even worse online (just to paint a picture, I never actually got around to posting either my undergrad or MBA graduation 🙃 let alone life events) But as a big New Years Resolution lover, this year I made my resolution learning to celebrate better. For the past 6 months I’ve been focused on offline celebrating: 🧘♀️ creating rituals around celebrating 📅 planning celebration ahead of time to make sure they happen, and 👯♀️ creating more space to reflect after big achievements with the people who helped me get there. (📚 One book I recommend that i read when starting this journey was The Art of Gathering by Priya Parker) But for the next 6 months I’m going to work towards celebrating more of the wins (and “lessons”) online with my every increasing community here on LinkedIn! So to kick things off, want to share one of the biggest achievement of my 2024, Alternew getting into Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, a prestigious tech accelerator here in NYC. This was both the best and most challenging thing we’ve done as a team to date! I plan to share more about the experience in future posts, but just wanted to start this online celebration journal with this major milestone for our team 🎉

Can definitely relate. It’s so easy to get stuck on all the progress that needs to be made that we forget to appreciate, celebrate, and express gratitude for how far we’ve come Congrats and excited to hear about Alternew’s next milestone 😛

Me 30 years ago ☝🏽Now, 30 years later I can confidently tell you: yes, celebrate and keep on celebrating!!! ✌🏽Do set out a grand vision, but don’t forget to enjoy and celebrate the big and small wins that will get you there. It will make the journey so much better for everyone involved. And you have a big journey ahead of you!

SO relatable. For me, realizing that celebrating wins along the way was not just a more fun time but also a strategy for endurance, was a game-changing mindset shift. Thanks for sharing your experience, and congrats on both Alternew’s accelerator chapter and your personal growth! 👏🥂
