One of our provider clients experienced over 100 days of delay before being able to bill payers for their services due to lengthy credentialing and enrollment processes for their new physicians. Multiple physician medical license checks and periodic re-credentialing every 2-3 years added to the administrative burden. Validating practice demographics every 90 days and managing numerous applications per physician annually also created significant administrative strain. The delays in credentialing directly impacted the provider’s cash flow and ability to expand services to meet growing patient demand. When we started working with them, we leveraged the expertise of our credentialing specialists with advanced automation technology to streamline the entire process. Here’s how we did it: ✅ Custom Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots were deployed to handle repetitive tasks such as status checks, follow-ups, and data entry. ✅ Automated search and custom macros expedited the credentialing process, reducing human error and increasing efficiency. ✅ Our in-house team of credentialing specialists managed the entire credentialing lifecycle, from gathering information from their physicians and preparing intake packets to submitting applications and conducting follow-ups. ✅ Weekly and monthly reports provided insights into credentialing progress, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring timely follow-ups. ✅ Shared dashboards track thousands of tasks, allowing for transparent monitoring and continuous optimization of the credentialing process. We were able to reduce their average credentialing turnaround time from 123 days to 78 days, a 37% improvement in a matter of months. 🗓️ 🤖 By automating over thousands of data checks, we slashed hundreds of hours of manual effort, allowing their staff to focus on higher value tasks. The faster process led to timely claim submissions and reduced revenue leakage from delayed credentialing. Our client was able to improve their revenue cycle enhance service delivery and support organizational growth. 💪 Want to learn how you can leverage automation to accelerate credentialing processing for your organization?
