My daily routine is split between two companies: one part of the day at Building Materials Wholesale and the second at The Panel Delivery Company, conveniently located across the street from each other. The goal remains constant at both companies: make it better today than it was yesterday. Operating closely with both, where one essentially supports the other, has sharpened my insight into B2B sales success. It boils down to complete and thorough customer knowledge. This includes knowing their product range, sales strategy, profit margins, bestsellers vs. underperformers, reasons behind their product selections, and their customer base. Understanding their operational mechanics, team composition, decision-making processes, reporting structures, information management, their customer feedback, supplier relations, and even personal details like birthdays and family names. Even how their favourite sports team is performing.
