And for Google’s next magic trick … even more disruption to how users will glean insights from their Business Profiles. Google announced last week that it will disable the chat and call history features on its Business Profile platform, signaling the death of two key metrics used by businesses to gain valuable insights into how customers choose to interact with their listings. And businesses will have less than 60 days to adjust. The creation of new chats will no longer be allowed as of July 15, and all chat and call history functionality will cease on July 31. Leading up to the deadline, Google is inviting listing owners to download their chat and call history via Google Takeout before it is permanently deleted. A date for the deletion of all chat and call history data has not been disclosed by Google. Businesses will still have their info visible on Google Search and Maps, including website links, business descriptions, photos, videos, hours of operation, etc. Businesses will also be able to continue receiving calls from their GBP listings, as well as track other metrics, such as web traffic or direction requests. The announcement marks the latest in a slew of modifications by Google to its Business Profile platform, which drives a significant number of leads for businesses across many verticals. The disabling of chat and call history features is the fourth large change in the last 6 months. In December, Google confirmed “openness” as a local ranking factor, leaving users to wonder whether they were being penalized for not operating a business 24 hours a day. This was followed by an announcement in January that any websites built within the GBP platform would be deactivated months later. What is a business to do?! 🤔 Oh, if only there was an awesome digital marketing agency that could help you set up alternative chat and call tracking features. Wait, we can do that! We have tested and utilize several platforms that do the same thing. From chatbots that can connect you with potential clients and in-depth call tracking, we have tried and tested it. Importance of Google Maps Reviews and Listings to Companies and Management In today’s digital age, Google Maps reviews and listings are vital for businesses seeking to establish a strong online presence. For companies, these tools enhance visibility, making it easier for potential customers to discover their services or products. A well-maintained Google Maps listing, complete with accurate information, high-quality photos, and positive reviews, significantly boosts a company's credibility and trustworthiness. This, in turn, increases foot traffic, both online and offline, driving more sales and customer engagement. For management, Google Maps reviews provide valuable insights into customer experiences and satisfaction. By analyzing feedback, managers can identify strengths and areas for improvement, enabling them to tailor their strategies to meet customer needs effectively. Additionally, reviews serve as free advertising, as positive testimonials can influence potential clients to choose your business over competitors. A consistent focus on maintaining a strong presence on Google Maps can lead to long-term benefits such as enhanced reputation, improved search rankings, and sustained growth. which one would you remember at first glance ? CallLink.in is a service that generates a unique URL for your or your business's phone numbers, enabling users to easily dial the number, send SMS, or WhatsApp messages without needing to add the contact. It also offers analytics on URL visits, providing insights for marketing campaigns. Multiple numbers for different locations can be added, automatically highlighting based on the user's location. Reasons to use CallLink.in include: Overcoming the limitations of directly sharing phone numbers in advertisements, such as lack of analytics and difficulty in remembering the number. CallLink.in is already established and remembered by many users, enhancing trust and recognition. It bypasses concerns about visiting unknown websites, as it only opens phone numbers and has built trust with users. Avoiding the risk of losing potential customers to competitors when users search for your shop or brand name on Google. Cost-effectiveness compared to acquiring good domain names. Increasing the chances of users remembering the contact information by providing a memorable URL. Simplifying the process for users to recall and use the contact information without needing to save or photograph it. Addressing the scarcity and high cost of short, memorable domain names. #timessquareinc #analytics #dataanalytics #calllink #callcenter #calling #phonenumber
