🔎 We have 6 harvests left to reach our 2030 climate goals. In the EU this means reducing emissions by 55% compared to 1990 levels. If you think about it, 2025 harvest is planned already. So this really only leaves us 5 growing cycles to drive change beyond what is committed today. And that is very little. 👩🚒 Clearly, we are running short of time. That's why it's unrealistic to expect that voluntary action alone will be sufficient. We need regulations that incentivise all corporates to take action and reward those who are already leading. It will be interesting to hear from Valeria Forlin, Léna Girard and Andrew V. about: ➡ the synergies that can be expected between regulations and voluntary action; ➡ whether the current voluntary momentum coupled with EU policies will be sufficient to get us to where we need to be in 2030.
