I'm by no means a "Podfather" but serious question for my recruiter friends out there... 🎙 Why is the medium of podcasts not used more by recruiters? 🤔 Think about it... As a recruiter you want to: ✍ Show market knowledge to clients ✍ Demonstrate expertise to candidates ✍ Build a personal brand ✍ Get face time / virtual time with decision-makers 💅 What better way to do this, than to use the medium of a podcast? 👊 For the clever ones reading this, you'll see where I'm going with this. Instead of pitching for a client visit, or a virtual meeting to "discuss hiring needs"... try inviting your prospects onto a podcast. You'll be surprised with the results! People who are experts in their field, love sharing their knowledge and experiences. Give them the the opportunity to do this. Provide them value while also establishing yourself as a person to speak to in your field. 🙌 They'll share to their network. You'll get the rub too? A throwback to the time I convinced myself that Chad Sowash quoted me on the The Chad & Cheese Podcast! He didn't but he was saying the same thing as I have been saying. If you are not leveraging your existing database of candidates your are WASTING money, sales and marketing would never do this. With the cost of job boards continuously rising (***cough****cough****Indeed), the smart money is on marketing to your existing candidates and see who is engaging with your content. I'm not talking about open rates and click through rates, I mean tracking every click and delivering highly personalized journeys based on the candidates engagement.
