Inc Best Workplace? Maybe. That's what I thought when I saw the results. For the first time, we submitted Salesmsg to Inc. Magazine's Best Workplaces Award. We sent our team the Inc. survey, thinking that if the feedback came back as “good” or “great,” we might have a shot at getting featured. Why not? With fingers crossed, we submitted the survey. Gulp—then the results came back. I closed my eyes and opened the PDF. I’ve got to be honest, I didn't expect this... Based on our team’s responses, we received a score of 88.69 out of 100. Turns out, people genuinely enjoy working at Salesmsg! :) There is one “barely engaged employee,” but don't worry, I'm tracking them down! (Just kidding.) I’ve attached the results so you can see for yourself—warts and all. I don’t know if we won, but it would be pretty cool if we did. The summer is right around the corner - and yes I use that term quite loosely, depending on where you are 😎 Many companies will be considering their next #EngagementSurvey, which is something important for both the organisation and its employees. The organisation should use this opportunity to get a good feel of how everyone is doing, an overall temperature check of the state of the mood. For employees, it's a chance to share their feelings, both positive and negative (fyi, summer surveys tend to have higher engagement and more positive results), and make suggestions on what could be different/better, for example. It's important to be efficient when creating the survey though. Don't waste questions on meaningless topics. Consider the purpose behind each question; what do you want to find out? What do you want to measure? And don't ask questions that you're not prepared to take action on - this one is crucial, if employees take the time to answer honestly on a topic that could be seen as "delicate", the least you can do as a company is not shy away from it, and be accountable. Regardless of the outcome of the question, this will build employee trust in you as an organisation. A final piece of advice is act fast on the responses you get - people don't want to fill out a survey then not see any action for months, if anything it will put people off from taking part in any future surveys, and not reflect good on you as a company at all. #ListenBetterActFaster

And we’re not just listening to our clients; we’re also tuning into our team. Client Surveys: → Start: We find out what new things you want us to do. → Stop: We stop doing things that you don’t like. → More: We do more of what you love and find new ways to serve you better. Employee Surveys: → Start: We make our workplace better by removing things that slow us down. → Stop: We stop practices that keep our team from doing their best. → More: We make sure our team is happy by doing more of what they enjoy. We value feedback from everyone involved—clients and employees alike. It helps us refine our services and our workplace. P.S. - Not just ticking boxes here—their voice literally shapes our business.
