Honda doesn't just want to power future vehicles with solid-state batteries; the company wants to develop and ultimately mass-produce the batteries itself. Solid-state tech represents a deep-anchored cornerstone of both its midterm electric vehicle plans and its greater goal of achieving full carbon neutrality by 2050. It took a big step toward those objectives this month, unveiling its first demonstration solid-state production line, which will allow it to refine both the battery construction and the manufacturing processes behind it.

Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares is on a mission to make #EVs lighter and more affordable, and we're helping him get there. Tavares sat down with Car and Driver to discuss how Stellantis is building its own batteries and investing in next-generation technologies to be a competitive EV maker. Our solid-state battery technology provides up to 50% higher energy density compared to lithium-ion, packing more energy while shedding significant EV weight. It's an incredible opportunity for us to partner with Stellantis to advance the adoption of our solid-state battery technology. https://bit.ly/3P4abTs #FutureisFactorial #solidstate

Exciting News in Battery Innovation: SSB: Solid-state batteries are making waves in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, promising enhanced efficiency and performance. OEM's Test Result: In rigorous testing conducted by Volkswagen-owned PowerCo, the solid-state cell exceeded expectations, maintaining an impressive 95 percent capacity after over 1,000 charging cycles. This translates to a potential mileage of over 300,000 miles for EVs with a 300-mile range. The Japanese automaker’s promise of a solid-state battery capable of over 621 miles starting in 2027 is what made some critics swallow their words after years of bashing the company’s feet-dragging approach to electrification. Now, though, it seems like the promise of care-free electric driving for hundreds of miles without recharging #batteryinnovation #electricvehicles #volkswagen #QuantumScape #toyota #idemitsu #sustainabilitymatters #futuremobility

⚡What are the consequences of legacy OEMs' hesitations in electrification?⚡ ➡️ “Before, their brand power was undisputed, but now Chinese consumers are looking around and finding other options that exist,” ➡️ “The unavoidable reality is that battery-electric vehicles achieve top performance in a much more cost-effective way.” ➡️ “Walking away from EVs means walking away from China,” ➡️ “China sets the pace for the future of premium cars. Brands that fail to excel in software and EV performance will not only lose market share in China but face similar issues in Europe and the U.S. over time.” Pedro Pacheco quotes In Automotive News Image - In December 2023, #Xiaomi introduced electric motors named HyperEngine V6, V6s, and V8s, reminiscent of traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) V6 and V8 designations. These motors were developed for the SU7. Ricardo Oliveira World Shopper | #GetReadyForTheFuture
