I'll be the first to say that you don't need a website to launch your brand or start selling. That's 100% true & I will continue to say it. - BUT! Relying solely on social media for your marketing & business growth is a very, very, VERY bad idea. As Laura DiBenedetto & I discuss in this episode of our enVisioning Success podcast, when you rely on a third party for your business, you own zero data & zero content. And you have zero backup plan. So, what happens when that platform goes down? Or is sold off? ::cough cough X cough cough:: (insert my side eye here) Or is hacked? Bottom line: You then have zero marketing. Your website should be the home base of your marketing - all paths should lead back to it. And you should have it enabled to collect that juicy data about visitors, so you know what's working & what isn't. Don't hand over the keys to your business' kingdom to a third party - own your marketing & your data.
