On this day, we celebrate the power of peace—the glue that holds communities, nations, and hearts together. Peace isn’t just the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice, equality, and love. Today, let’s remember that peace starts with each one of us. In a world that’s often divided, let’s unite for a cause that knows no boundaries. Speak kindly, act justly, and spread compassion wherever you go. Because together, we can create a world where peace thrives. How will you be a peacemaker today? Start by: - Listening with an open heart - Extending a helping hand - Standing up for equality and justice Let’s make peace not just a day—but a daily commitment. Let’s inspire one another, build bridges, and create a future where peace reigns. #WorldPeaceDay2024 #PeaceInAction #UnitedForPeace #PeaceStartsWithUs #GlobalUnity #WagsM #NigerState

As we commemorate the International Day of Non-Violence, we must recognize that this call for #peace resonates deeply in regions still enduring the pain of violence and injustice. For many, the aspiration for peace is not just an abstract hope, but a struggle woven into the fabric of their everyday lives. For us in #Iraq, we endured the scourge of wars, invasions, and internal strife, the legacy of violence here is profound. Yet, the scars left behind have only strengthened our collective resolve to champion non-violence as a pathway to healing and rebuilding. The Iraqi experience is a testament to the power of peace amid adversity. The scars of violence run deep, yet they also fuel our resolve to advocate for non-violence. Let this day remind us not only of the suffering that countless individuals continue to face but also of our shared responsibility to nurture peace, compassion, and understanding. Every small act of kindness, every voice advocating against injustice, and every step towards reconciliation brings us closer to a world free from violence. Peace is not just the absence of war. For peace to exist, there needs to be a commitment to peace, and the context for peace where life, humanity and equality are revered. If we do not have a context for peace, if we dehumanise sections of society, if we revere the rich and deride the poor, if we amplify indignity and prevent participation from the whole human family, then peace cannot exist. Peace will never exist when the weapons of war make some people extremely rich. The incentive for war is too great when profit off killingry is sanctioned. Peace asks us to create equality across different castes and ethnicities; it asks us to ensure that our human-constructed national borders do not tip inequality in one direction or the other. Dynamic healthy reciprocity is crucial to peace. When there is more take and less give, the scales tip towards war. Peace lives when there is a healthy place for disagreement, difference, and diversity. A genuine cry for peace without changing the context in which peace can exist is naive. https://lnkd.in/gQuYRWZi #beautyofbeginnings #syntropicworld #syntropicenterprise

A Results-Driven Leader with high Emotional & Social Competency, Wisdom, Integrity, Authenticity, Dedication, Humility and Professional Will and Passion
In a moment where the headlines are often filled with stories of conflict, #war, and divisions, it's crucial for us to remember the power of #unity and #compassion. Let's use our voices, platforms, and actions to advocate for #peace, to stand firmly against the #injustices that tear at the fabric of humanity. Each of us has the capacity to be a beacon of hope, to spread kindness instead of hatred, and to choose empathy over indifference. Together, we can forge a path towards a world where dignity and respect for all are not just ideals, but realities. It starts with us—choosing to stand against wars, abuses, and any form of violence, advocating for a future where every person can live in peace and with their rights intact. Let's commit to making a difference, however small it may seem, because in those efforts, we find the seeds of global change. #Peace #HumanRights #StandTogether

CEO of Equality Group/ Inclusion Advocate/ Strategic Leader for Asset Management,Tech, Corporates and Public Sectors
🕊 Can Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) bring peace? 🇺🇦 Reflecting on the passage of time, certain memories gradually fade, especially those detailing the early days of conflict. However, amidst the haze, there are vivid recollections etched in my mind. The abrupt awakening to a flood of calls and messages. 😱 Heart-wrenching conversations with friends whose homes bore the brunt of shelling. 🙄 The surreal exchange with my father who initially mistook the onset of war for an earthquake. 😬 The urgent plea to my mother to seek refuge in a shelter. As weeks went by, I found myself caught in an emotional whirlwind—swinging between confusion, fear, anger, hope, and despair in an endless loop. 💔 700 days have passed, thousands of lives have been lost, millions of people have been displaced. This emotional turmoil has subsided, but still persists as an endless loop, as I impatiently await closure. 🌍 These experiences have reinforced my conviction that fostering a world where diverse voices are heard and inclusive leadership thrives is paramount. 👥️ It's imperative that we work towards building such inclusive environments. By doing so, we can pave the way for a diverse, inclusive, stable, and peaceful world, where the scourge of war and terrorism gradually becomes a memory. 📸 Photo: my mum and her newly acquired Ukrainian girlfriends, who now have settled in Bexhill. #Ukraine #War #Resilience #Peace #Reflections #Hope #CommunityStrength #Diversity #Inclusion
