THE SAMOA AGREEMENT
Before I go into an analysis of the Samoa Agreement I would like to get your views on something that I think is fundamental to the whole discussion by seeking your opinions.
I crave your kind indulgence to express your opinion below. I believe that sometimes, in order to arrive at an optimal conclusion to a thing we should start from the extremes and gradually work our way towards what could be workable.
Which do you think is more important/better/ideal?
A country that has good laws but whose people don't abide by the positive intentions contained in those laws, who live their lives without any regard for the dignity of their fellow men and by this ignorance, their own dignity as well, and who by their daily actions feed the abuse daily served them by their leaders even though their laws are well written . . .
or
a country that has badly scripted laws but whose people live in true love for each other in accordance with good conscience, rise above and beyond the boundaries of what makes them different in so many ways, and help ensure that individually and collectively, they can each and all live dignified lives?
