You own a business. You want to grow. But it's hard to find new customers. So, how do you get there? The answer is simple: NETWORK! Progressive Computing, Inc. has been a member of The Business Council of Westchester since 2002. Yep, 22 years! I've watched The BCW grow in leaps and bounds. AND... We've grown along with it. If you want to grow your business then you've got to build a network of PEOPLE around you first... ...especially in the service business. People do business with people they know, like, and trust. It's even more important in a service business where the nuances of your offerings or deliverables aren't always the easiest to understand by customers. IT, financial services, medical, legal... to name few. So, it mainly comes down to TRUST. 👀 One good way to earn that is by putting yourself out into the community. ✅ Be yourself. ✅ Be genuine. ✅ Don't be pushy. ✅ Relax. The business will come. ❓ But, Robert, events are expensive, and I don't have the time! Growth always comes at the cost of time & money. It's an investment - not an expense. Few, if any, can grow effortlessly. You reap what you sow. We're a proud member and sponsor of The BCW. We've won awards. But, most importantly... 👉 we go to events 👉 we engage and participate 👉 we lift other members by making connections 👉 we lean in and listen earnestly Karma has been kind to us. Not a BCW member? 🎯 Simple advice: join and go. Not in the Westchester County, NY area? 🎯 Simple advice: find your local community orgs and jump in! #growmybusiness #smallbusiness #businessnetworking

Couldn’t agree more. When we recently brought on a large client. We met their office administrator at the Concord NH Chamber of Commerce. We talked for 6 months as I collected information to help them through a difficult transition in downsizing from another MSP. The local network, being out there and transparent is your most effective marketing. This month we onboarded the client. Patience and trust built through our local Chamber.

Gotta get out there! I'll be honest, as an introvert, it's not my favorite thing - but the more you do it the more natural it becomes.
