Last week, RBC was pleased to bring back a revamped event, RBC EmpowerHer, for young women in grades 11 and 12, to give them insights into what a career in finance and business looks like. With the largest turnout yet, 111 female students had the opportunity to have a one-on-one lunch with an RBC leader, to learn about career opportunities and practice networking. Our guests experienced a tour of the RBC Capital Markets trading floor and lunch and reception on the 40th floor of RBC’s Head Office, RBC Plaza. RBC Executives Erica Nielsen, Group Head, RBC Personal Banking, and Rachel Megitt (she / her), Vice President, Term Investments & Savings and RBC InvestEase, opened the event with inspiring words about failure and possibilities. Thank you to all the students and educators who joined us!
