🤔 How can you make a target on a graph?   ⚖️ You *could* have create an image of a target image and plotted it at that point.   If it's not a vector-based image, any resizing will cause it to pixelate and look bad.   So, think "How can I make a target with data?"   If you have x,y coordinates, you just needed variables for 3 circles.   And since they are concentric, you can just duplicate the original variable twice and make the 3 instances different sizes.   I'm not sure how useful that is for business, but you never know what millions of Tableau users may be trying to accomplish.   🏗→🧠 Build to Learn!   💭🚶♀️🚶♂️ Follow for more.   #tableau #data #analytics #VizoftheRay

🤔 Did you ever lose your lines on a line chart?   📈 There is usually a good reason for that.   📝 The problem is probably that you have some variable in Detail (or elsewhere in the view) that is causing greater than one Mark per the selected level of detail of the time period.   These are killing the line chart because Tableau can't decide which dot to use at that time slot.   So you need to get to a unique value.   You pick the method that is most appropriate: ✔ filter ✔ max ✔ min ✔ avg   Or chop up the view with greater granularity, or filter, or… there could be multiple solutions depending on the nature of the data.   Once you get distinct values per time period, your lines will reappear.   🏗→🧠 Build to Learn!   💭🚶♀️🚶♂️ Follow for more.   #tableau #data #analytics #VizoftheRay

🤔 Did you know that in Tableau you can put a Dimension in Size?   ⌛ For a long time, I never thought of that.   💭 But one day, I was testing an idea and I thought, "Man, it would be great if I didn't need to make another variable for a measure to put on size."   💣 So I dragged the dimension that was on color to size as well, and BAM! It worked.   Wait, it gets even better!
