12 months ago, we were nothing but an idea, some designs, and a pitch deck.   I went out and raised capital and got a fair share of no’s before I got my first yes.   6 months ago, we 'soft’ launched. We shipped early, and I mean super early, we launched with only a couple of features barely working and a bunch of bugs.   Since then, it’s been pedal to the metal. We’ve gone from strength to strength.   Building, testing, measuring, and creating something that will truly make a difference.   We’ve proven our hypothesis that Kiwis need better tools to empower them to be better with money, not just for budgeting but from their first paycheck to their pension.   Now it’s time to deliver on that. The product roadmap is stacked, the marketing calendar is full and we’re ready to go 🙌🏻   It’s been a massive team effort, so i’ve got to give a special shout-out to the legends who have been instrumental in getting us to where we are today, and we’re only just getting started.   Simon Rolland for believing in the mission and vision from day one, always pushing the status quo and bringing new ideas and directions to the table. All of this definitely wouldn’t be possible without you.   Bradley Kirkland for bringing this idea to life from the tech side, taking care of the technical nuts and bolts, and driving the vision forward with the team to build this beast.   Josh Daniell and the Akahu team, for being the leaders of change in the NZ Fintech ecosystem and unlocking the ability for Kiwis to securely and safely have control of their data and utilise it with apps like BudgetBuddie.   Our early adopters, a massive shoutout to you all for all your feedback and for hanging in there while we’ve been building this from the ground up. 🔍 Googling was yesterday. And today? I am surprised about the “answer machine” Perplexity AI. It takes my research to the next level. 🔎 No, Perplexity AI didn't sponsor me. They bribed me😉. Through the quality of the answers. I can hardly imagine what research was like before, back then, with Google. I get the exact answers I need. With sources displayed in text, graphics and video. Even for facts from German-speaking countries. (Spiegel-Verlag is already a partner.) And these sources are clearly weighted. Perplexity AI is free and also available as a Pro version. I think I will upgrade as soon as I have exhausted the free version. #AI #FutureOfSEO #AIinSEO

Lohith says that he "finally" gathered the courage to post about his new position at DataWars. But let me tell you more about how we met, and you'll see how courageous he's been, and how important is to push for what you love. I first became acquainted with Lohith in our nascent DataWars' Discord Server. At the beginning, it was me answering most of the questions from users, but one day this guy came with a weird Ironman profile picture helping other users in a random server. We didn't know each other, we didn't pay him, anything. He just saw a question and helped. First show of courage. A few weeks in, after answering questions here and there, he started asking his own questions. But they were nothing like simple Python/Pandas questions, he was asking about the mathematical derivation of the Bias–variance tradeoff 😳. He was taking a course about Machine Learning, and he was digging even deeper by his own means into topics that were not covered. Second show of courage. A few months ago, he randomly emailed me with an idea of building a project for DataWars. We didn't post a search or anything like that. He initiated the contact. We obviously were extremely happy to count with him in our team. Third show of courage. Lohith is a great example of how working hard and pushing for what you like will do for you. I have gotten several important deals in my life by just cold-emailing someone and being honest about how we could collaborate. Worst thing that can happen? They don't reply. So keep pushing, keep asking for what you want, and keep building connections. I hope Lohith's courage serves as a motivator.
