Understanding, accepting, and working with reality is both practical and beautiful. I have become so much of a hyperrealist that I’ve learned to appreciate the beauty of all realities, even harsh ones, and have come to despise impractical idealism. Don’t get me wrong: I believe in making dreams happen. To me, there’s nothing better in life than doing that. The pursuit of dreams is what gives life its flavor. My point is that people who create great things aren’t idle dreamers: They are totally grounded in reality. Being hyperrealistic will help you choose your dreams wisely and then achieve them. #principleoftheday

Admittedly, embracing hyperrealism is an area where I still need growth. While I value dreaming big and setting ambitious goals, there are times when I catch myself leaning too heavily into idealism, hoping things will align simply because I want them to. This can create blind spots, where I overlook practical constraints or fail to fully prepare for obstacles that are inevitably part of the journey. The challenge, I’ve realized, is striking a balance, keeping the audacity to dream while rooting those dreams firmly in the soil of reality. It’s not about giving up on aspirations; it’s about confronting the harsh truths that might stand in the way and being willing to adapt. True progress doesn’t come from wishing problems away but from facing them head-on and learning to navigate through them. If there’s a lesson I’m actively working on, it’s to see reality not as a limitation but as a guide. The more we understand and accept what is, the better equipped we are to achieve what could be. For me, this principle is less about mastery and more about a continuous, humbling process of growth.

Isn’t reality different for each person based on their experience and perspective? I personally despise hyper individualism where people only focus on their personal needs & wants vs understanding the impact we each have on the whole. As humans evolve and become more enlightened (if that doesn’t get derailed by the nonsense we see today) I believe we will look back on the primitive thinking of today and be shocked at how we didn’t understand the conectivity we all have and how a small % of the whole can truly impact positive change that benefits all. For example: if I had 1mm people give $5 per month to strategically focus on solving problems, you can make a huge impact each year by focusing funding on solutions. Instead of relying on 10 people to give $500,000. You extrapolate that to larger populations abd you change the power dynamics globally. But individualism would be a big hurdle because even though you can do this effectively, greed and power would eventually creep in. You would need a group that is only interested in solutions without credit.

RAY DALIO, GIVEN YOU APPRECIATE REALITY, TAKE DOWN THAT UN-PERMITTED, ILLEGAL, DANGEROUS FOR COLLAPSE, RIDICULOUS, PRETENTIOUS NEW 7TH FLOOR PENTHOUSE YOU BUILT OVER MY APARTMENT DURING COVID (while I was away) ON 468, WEST BROADWAY, SO I CAN GO BACK TO LIVE SAFELY IN MY APARTMENT. be REALISTIC, you built something that caused terrible damages to my apartment and could very likely cause a COLLAPSE of the entire HISTORICAL, LANDMARK 140 YEARS OLD BUILDING BECAUSE OF YOUR 2021 ILLEGALLY BUILT PENTHOUSE AND ITS DEFECTIVE STRUCTURAL DESIGN DIFECTS ALONG WITH ITS 200,000 POUNDS OF WEIGHT (equal to 40 SUV ESCALEDE on the top of the Building). A COLLAPSE BESIDES DESTROYING A UNIQUE PROPERTY COULD KILL OR HURT SEVERAL PEOPLE, INCLUDING BYPASSER. BEING REALISTIC IN YOUR CASE MEANS TO ACCEPT YOU DEVIOUSLY SCREWED UP, AND NOW ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO TAKE DOWN YOUR PENTHOUSE AND REPAY ALL DAMAGES YOU CAUSED!

You despise “impractical idealism”, I depise the current reality of injustices, inequalities, wars, greedy. The messages of MLK, Mandela, Gandhi and many more were deemed impractical, idealism until it changed the world… because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the wirld are the ones who indeed change it. A world with Fair Justice, Peace, Freedom and Equal Opportunities is sustainable. We are One Race, the Human Race with inherent rights to a life with dignity. LOVE IS THE REASON. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Angelica

Hyperrealism has its roots in the philosophy of Jean Baudrillard, "the simulation of something which never really existed." As such, hyperrealists creates a false reality, a convincing illusion based on a simulation of reality, the digital photograph. Hyperreality is a concept that describes a condition in which the distinction between reality and simulation becomes blurred, leading to an experience of reality that is more vivid or compelling than actual reality itself. There are dangers to the use of hyperreality within our culture; individuals may observe and accept hyperreal images as role models when the images don't necessarily represent real physical people. This can result in a desire to strive for an unobtainable ideal, or it may lead to a lack of unimpaired role models. Cartoon characterizations of politicians as superheros are an example. Hyperrealists are not totally grounded in reality.

Most anything is possible but just because it’s possible doesn’t make it reasonable, or wise, or worthwhile, or or or. Having spent the bulk of my life dreaming and then building things out of nothing, the ability to will things in to place, to force square pegs into round holes, is imperative. If one can’t will things to be done, they’ll struggle to be in business ownership, to be an entrepreneur, and in many cases to be a great manager/leader. However, I’ve also spent a career trying to help my inexperienced managers or mentee business owners control their aggressiveness or ambitions (or better yet, their insecurities manifesting as a “winner”). Just because they can doesn’t mean they should. Tackling goals for the wrong reasons can and will cost them, the team, and or the company well more than what they thought they achieved……even with all the pats on the back and the self gratification. Uncontrolled aggression or ambition can be an enemy to the whole. Always erring on the upper edge of possible is a fools errand, a game of Russian Roulette. You can maybe eat a live porcupine, or force others to eat it, but why?

I think to the key to understanding this better would be having ability, of determining what is « impractical idealism! " throughout history, what seemed to be impractical, ended up being reality and achievable! personally, I think both approaches are beneficial and will produce better outcomes!

This may refer to letting go of subservant ideas, societal expectations, or old emotional traumas related to your gender that we may carry unconsciously. Encouraging an examination of ways in which you might be undervaluing yourself or not fully receiving the love and abundance that is your birth right. History or principles mixed with pioneering spirit of new age. This may not be an easy journey, as it often involves looking at aspects of yourself and your life that may be uncomfortable to face. Yet by acknowledging these areas and actively working towards releasing them, you foster a profound transformation. This is a journey to reclaiming your true power, a journey to reconnecting with the divine within.
