Sharing this article from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership that addresses research recently published in the Medical Care Journal. The research article in the Medical Care Journal does not consider how today's nursing leaders are advocating for innovative care models and collaborating with front-line clinicians to empower and support the current and future healthcare workforce--specifically nurses. As nurse leaders, let’s collaborate to create meaningful solutions for the future. #NurseLeadership #HealthcareInnovation #Collaboration #EvidenceBasedPractice #Nurse #NurseWorkforce https://lnkd.in/gFpGUyCk

Thank you Sarah Bell, RN, MSN, MHA for sharing this. Well, we know that the #nursing pipeline is producing more #nurses in the last couple of years, we also know that turnover remains high, and that more nurses are moving into non-hospital and nondirect care positions. We are going to have to find ways to integrate technology into the delivery of nursing practice. #Virtualnursing is one component of this which is evolving rapidly into the virtual care team overall. Virtual nursing will continue to progress at an exponential pace over the next couple of years and will become the standard of care. #caretransformation

I just had a conversation with a colleague today about how well nurses are positioned to lead, on every front ie every C-Suite role! Nursing is THE largest sector of clinical professionals in our industry. Serving as a CEO or COO should be obvious in health systems, health tech, health plans, policy making etc. The application of the nursing process in all areas is what inspired my achievement of an MBA many years ago and has informed my insights about patient/consumer care AND nursing excellence! #csuitenurses #valueinformednursing
