EVs Are STILL Not Being Taken Seriously - An EV and 10x Robotaxi Tsunami Is Coming - And Nobody Is Ready For It, Except Tesla You can tell that EVs aren't being taken seriously because there are federal tax credits being given out for hybrid vehicles. There continues to be a pullback from legacy automakers on their EV plans, even though GM CEO Mary Barra said that by 2025, GM would overtake Tesla in EV sales. Besides the internal combustion engine not being sustainable for the long-term future and cleanliness of the planet, those cars are limited in their ability to improve from technology. But soon after, EVs stole the spotlight. Elon Musk-led Tesla disrupted the auto industry and nearly every major legacy automaker scrambled to take part in the coming EV revolution. With almost no fully electric vehicles, the once vanguard #Toyota looked behind the times. However, as of early 2024, EV sales are leveling off and hybrids are making a comeback. Automakers such as #Ford, #BMW, #Mercedes, #Hyundai and General Motors #GM are all either pulling back on EV production or boosting the manufacture of the humble hybrid.
