What did you say? That is a question we should all monitor both from our external (vocal cords) and our internal voice that speaks even when we tell it to shut up. What are you saying to yourself? Why, because it may be the most important thing you say all day. As a former athlete I am aware that most athletes I know, we, “talk to ourselves”. It is a way to derive meaning from activity where we are exerting maximum requirements from the human body. It is a way to focus and use every ounce of directed energy towards some goal. This should be no different for any other human, regardless of who and what they are doing. Here’s what I mean – Jane, a former coaching client wanted to pursue a career as a pilot but felt trapped in a cycle of self-doubt and negativity. She would often catch herself thinking, "I'm not good enough," "I'll never succeed," and "What's the point in trying?" These thoughts were not only affecting her mental well-being but also her performance at work and her relationships. Although, she remained motivated to succeed she’d would catch herself saying aloud, “it’s never gonna work, why bother…” After a year of fighting - she sent me a request for an appointment. I asked Jane to write down 10 positive things she might want to say if she were encouraging a friend to go for a life goal. I asked her to commit to saying these things FIRST thing in the morning. She placed them on sticky notes and placed them around her mirror. Every morning, she would look at herself and read these thoughts and then say them aloud with energy, big body movements and tone for emphasis, (using her arms and hands to annunciate things). "I am capable," "I am worthy," and "I can achieve my goals," she would say with conviction. I remember her saying it was "awkward and wasn't genuine at first, because she didn’t believe any of it. Slowly, something remarkable happened. Her mindset began to shift. The words she spoke started to resonate within her, changing the way she viewed herself and her abilities. Words and mental images have immense power. They can build you up or tear you down. By consciously choosing to speak kindly to ourselves, we can rewire our brains and create a more empowering self-image. This isn't just wishful psychology hack —it's a practice that can lead to tangible changes in our lives. For Jane, the results were astonishing. Her confidence grew, and she began to take on challenges and is now one of the few 19 female Flight Captains with her airlines. If you find yourself stuck in a loop of negative self-talk, try this simple but impactful tactic. Look into the mirror and speak words of encouragement to yourself. It might feel strange at first, but give it time. The impact on your life can be transformative. Not sure you can, I'll show you how. Late face. *Sigh*. Despite my best efforts to get to the networking meeting on time, the joys of driving a long wheel-based van in an unfamiliar city with teeny tiny streets, where you have to do 56-point turns and then park 10 minutes' walk away from your destination - they kinda made me mostly rather late this morning. To fail to plan is to... yeah - I know! 🤦🏼♀️ But I'm hoping the face conveys a little more 'Ah well' zen than resting b*tch face. I'm not sure it does 😅 (I do RBF so well)... but that's the place I was in whilst hurriedly snapping this photo on the way there. Which meant I was able to enjoy my 10 minute walk in the sunshine, along the river. And then dive straight in and have some fabulous and fun conversations with the lovely ladies of the Independent Coffee Club - without needing to hide myself in the loos and wipe away any mascara streaks first, do ten deep breaths and give myself a pep talk, or power pose to recover my poise. It just worked. It does, these days. Because my emotional brain is no longer massively triggered by situations that really don't need to cause a meltdown. Emotional Mastery is one of the foundational pillars I work with to help you uncover your natural capacity for confidence, composure and self-control - and it comes in very handy at times like these! The other half of the equation? Identity Alignment. Or put very simply, helping you show up as the competent, capable, kickass person you are - rather than the self-doubting, self-critical, self-sabotaging version of yourself you've learned to be. If you fancy finding out more about how you too can learn to harness your zen in just 6 weeks, drop me a DM... RBF optional. (And next time, I'm catching the train like the smart, intelligent woman I am).

How to overcome know-it-all-ism “Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don’t.” — Leo Buscaglia Robin, a big-built, loud man was a pain in the neck. But he didn't think so! After all, his family backed him up 100%. In fact, the people in the gated community where he lived hated him and tried their best to avoid him! Wonder why? Well, he suffered from know-it-all-ism! He was used to a lifestyle where he thought he was always right about everything. In most situations, he would have a smug expression of a superior being and argue until he won or shut down the rest. The times when he acted like listening was only to put down the speaker or correct them. He would even claim false experiences to uphold his point of view. When people managed to stand together against his wrong stance, he would shout and abuse and even storm out of the meetings, telling everyone, "I don't $#!!#%! care! Do what you want. I will not agree!" In total, it was his way or the highway! Do you have a picture of someone in mind? We call such people - the know-it-all! I remembered the story of a CEO who went to meet a wise man to understand how to attain peace. As they sat together, the CEO began to talk and talk about himself and his achievements. The wise man quietly listened and finally offered to pour tea for the CEO. The wise man kept the cup before the CEO and began to pour and continued to pour even after the cup was full. The tea was spilling all over and the CEO jumped up from his seat and said, "What are you doing?" The wise man replied, "Isn't this your state of being?" Winston Churchill said, "to improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often" It's time to reflect on your life and ask yourself if you do behave like a know-it-all at certain times, certain situations, or with certain people. I have found that I have done this and have been changing and changing... Here is the 𝗕.𝗔.𝗖.𝗞 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 that has helped me overcome my urge to be a know-it-all: B - Become aware of your body posture, expression, gestures, thinking, and feeling A - Ask to understand other's perspectives with curiosity and when thoughts & feelings interrupt, acknowledge but continue to listen actively C - Care for others - their point, their presence, their personality K - seek to Know more from all situations, all people, at all times Then you will stop being a know-it-all and become a seeker, a listener, an adventurer, and a leader. 💡I provide Visual frameworks & tools with stories for leaders to See, Serve & Share in this digital era. 🔔 Subscribe today. #ashleyvinil #leadership #visualleadership #visdemy

I needed a couple of days to process what happened in London at the Chocianaite Creative Agency workshop where I gave my firstever performance talk for jewellery business owners I can trace back my thoughts to 6 years ago when I was dreaming about teaching and inspiring people to be better, courageous, overcome themselves, and become relentless I didn't know at all how to do it. But I wanted it! How do I get to that point in life where the opportunity of doing it will cross in front of my eyes and I'll be able to recognize and take it? Is it by magic? Is it luck? I asked myself the WHY? question many times over the last 6 years Why do I like to work together with people? Why do I enjoy it? Why do I want to do this? I knew some things: About engineering, sports biomechanics, training; I'm high in curiosity and with the amazing ability of doing the opposite of what I was being told (even if I was wrong, and I learned the lesson). I liked science and understanding how things work But that wasn't the main reason My origin story was one of a shy teenager who liked video games and playing rugby. Full of insecurities, I believed that life was unfair, coupled with seeing my father struggle with obesity his whole life. Obesity is a complex medical condition that needs to be addressed emotionally and psychologically, both at a personal and environmental level He was a stubborn man regarding this subject My frustration of not knowing how to help him and not wanting to see him suffer made me go away A bit more than 4 years have passed since he passed away from the result of that multifactorial disease My vision and mission grew stronger: to help people reframe their actions, thoughts, and beliefs. To guide them in caring for the most important aspects of their lives: their body, their mind, and their performance I might be biased by my perception of reality and how I grew up. That's my evidence, my experience. We all suffer to some degree from the same kind of problems. Between all the information, capabilities, and knowledge we possess and the goals and dreams we have, there is plenty of NOISE Noise is insecurities, fear, emotions, thoughts, traumas, lack of action, excuses, victimhood…name it. And it was about these essential matters in life that my first performance talk focused on. How to keep going forward, from A to B, reducing the friction from all this noise? Noise from the past, the future, and the present. 25 people and a clear objective from Chocianaite: to instill action, urgency, motivation, to recognize their strength, and set a clear goal from the session. There are as many paths as there are people in this world. And perceptions, and realities. You have to find your path to power. We all have one Isaac Newton said "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants" Much gratitude to Auguste Chocianaite for giving me the space and the opportunity to speak in front of her clients. And I appreciate you for reading this.

Integrity is another word for moral alignment. You’re highly intelligent. You’re successful in business or in your professional life. You’re financially set. You’re married and maybe have kids. You live your life for respect, love and status. You are viewed as successful by others. You value integrity. All the areas of your life are aligned based on your morals and values… Except for one. Your health. But why? Complacency and comfort. You’re spouse loves you for who you are. Everything is going well for you. You work hard but you play harder. You’re content with your weekly routine. But the minute you’re vacationing in Cabo, you feel embarrassed to take your shirt off. That confident guy becomes very timid. And this frustrates you like nobody’s business.(trust me, I’ve spoken to hundreds of successful men and these are their exact words) Your alignment and integrity don’t add up then. You are driven to win your days but sacrifice health activities for your wealth obsession. You crave status but the ultimate status, in your mind, is being both successful and in shape. So, you either stay status quo and live with internal shame about your fitness or you make the decision to prioritize your actions and live up to your personal values. That starts with owning your lifestyle habits. That’s making fitness an integral part of your life. That’s being aligned in ALL aspects of life. That’s integrity. Agree or disagree?

The Law of Vibration: Transforming Lives Through Positive Energy Story: Once, there was a young woman named Anika, who was stuck in a monotonous corporate job. Despite her hard work, she felt unfulfilled and yearned to pursue her passion for art. Anika often doubted her abilities, and her energy radiated negativity. One day, her mentor introduced her to the Law of Vibration, explaining how our thoughts and emotions emit vibrations that attract similar energies. The mentor advised her to visualize success, feel gratitude for small wins, and surround herself with positivity. Anika began her transformation by shifting her mindset. She started each day with affirmations like, "I am a talented artist, and my work inspires others." She practiced gratitude by listing three things she appreciated daily and visualized herself showcasing her artwork in galleries. Slowly, opportunities began to unfold. A colleague noticed her sketches and recommended her for a local art exhibition. This boosted her confidence, and she dedicated her evenings to honing her skills. Her positive energy and passion became infectious, attracting more opportunities. Within two years, Anika transitioned to becoming a full-time artist, her works featured in multiple exhibitions. Lessons for Young People: 1. Shift Your Mindset: Replace self-doubt with self-belief. What you think and feel sets the foundation for what you achieve. 2. Gratitude is Powerful: Recognizing what you have today raises your vibration, inviting more abundance. 3. Visualize Your Goals: See and feel the reality you want as if it already exists. This aligns your energy with your aspirations. 4. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Be around people and environments that uplift you. Their energy will amplify yours. The Law of Vibration teaches us that change begins within. Like Anika, when you align your energy with your dreams, life responds with opportunities that match your vibrations. #LawOfVibration #PositiveEnergy #Inspiration #MindsetMatters #SuccessStory #GratitudeJourney #YouthMotivation #TransformYourLife #VibrateHigher #ManifestYourDreams

Understanding and navigating emotions is an area I am very interested in. Discipline and motivation are what people look for or admire in others. Yet at the heart of this, is self regulation. To continue doing or to do what we know to be good for us, even when we don't feel like doing it. A deeper level is to have the awareness of what that really is for us. Rather than what we think we need to do. What are our specific needs? What are we ignoring, blaming others or not taking responsibility for? Acceptance, responsibility and compassion led actions can create a very strong framework for supporting our wellbeing and how we gain clarity on what matters for us an individuals. https://lnkd.in/eqZCzg3f

Affectionate I have done twice Personality Test lately, it revealed that I am an ISFP-T - saying that I am belong to one of the most extroverted kind of introvert. To me, honesty and integrity able to affectionately divert existence better - unveiling opportunity by ensuring the collaboration and it's rooted generic emotional stagnant will be better on par. Introvert person could be a very self-centered personality to me ; possibly because we often applying different metric to satisfy synergy fuel that's attract focus attain, so that we could continue observe our surrounding and review their aptitude and rehabilitation better - it genuinely expressed that our interference is changing quite often while evolve, especially when we really see the need to drive influence on the moment where it's arousal was encountering tribulation. Introvert person is very contradicting, often - they tends to compare alot of feelings and it's possible consequences ; leading an overly sensitive characteristic. It's strength being a sensitive person, is that there are really ready to adapt exotic and exquisite information much easier - having pair of great eyes to details, and able to process them through different way. I entrusts that by remaining thoughtful or not, we are a type of people whom may overlooking detail of data due to it's abstraction ; but once the right opportunity enabling our conscious by later on - we will likely rebounce it fearlessly and protest on behalf of self or others should we identify gap. SELF CONFIDENCE SPEAK ITSELF. Self-confidence is often evident in the way individuals carry themselves, and Yusuf Dikec, the silver medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, is a prime example of how this trait speaks for itself. Dikec's calm demeanor under pressure during the shooting competition demonstrated a level of self-assuredness that only comes from years of dedication and practice. Despite the high stakes, his focus remained unwavering, a clear sign of someone who trusts in their abilities. The casual nature with which he approached the competition, without excessive gear or fanfare, highlighted his confidence in his skill rather than relying on external aids. His approach to the competition, including his simple choice of attire, was unconventional for the Olympic stage, yet it emphasized that confidence is not about appearances but about inner belief. Dikec's ability to stay composed even as the event gained media attention reflects a deep-seated self-confidence that goes beyond the competition itself. His viral moment, sparked by his nonchalant appearance, became a symbol of how self-confidence can resonate with others, inspiring admiration and respect. Moreover, his success is a testament to the idea that when one is confident, they need not rely on external validation, as their achievements and conduct speak volumes. Dikec’s approach to the sport, which includes a clear focus on precision and mental discipline, is another unique aspect of his self-confidence. His ability to perform consistently in high-pressure situations reveals an inner calm and assurance that few possess. The fact that he was able to go viral for something as simple as his relaxed demeanor shows that true self-confidence is magnetic and noticeable, even in the smallest details. Lastly, Dikec's confidence is also reflected in his post-competition attitude, where he looks forward to future challenges, not as a daunting prospect, but as an opportunity to further prove his capabilities.
