We had the pleasure of talking to Ramona Hazan, the founder of Ramona’s heavenly Houmous.
She told us about her goal of creating a product that stands out from the regular products on the supermarket shelves. And she succeeded: her hummus has become the number one hummus brand in the UK. RTL AdAlliance is now helping Ramona build brand awareness through Total Video advertising!

Hi Ryan, I'm Ramona. I'm the founder of the homeless brand Ramonas from the UK. I found it a hummus brand 20 years ago now. I know it goes without say, but I was 10 when I started. It's a joke. We are the number one hummus brand in the UK and I've got here because we sponsored the James Martin's Cooking show on ITV in the UK and we are the number one hummus brand in the UK now. So we are with RTL looking at opportunities to come to Europe and bring our fantastic, delicious promises to your supermarket shelves. It's delicious and I promise you when you taste it, you will never look back. We're a really bright, vibrant brand. We try and stand out on the shelves. And what we really needed was a wait for the market to see us actually get really used to us being around and then that being in the back of their minds. So they see this bright yellow and this bright pink branding and they're like, hold on a second. I know that they give it a try. It's brilliant. It just reaches a mass of people and our brand is about abundance. It's about the opportunity to share a lot of food. And so when they see it on the. TV, they know what to expect, they know what to do with it, they know we're all about sharing. We've done it in a super bright way and we've done a bigger, abundant table of food. So we're saying we want you to share, we want you to eat with other people, we want you to be with your friends. And we don't think that any exciting nights ever happen without sharing food. I think the brand fits perfectly with TV because we are all about getting it out there. We want people to know about us. We want people to accept that being bright and vibrant is OK Sharing is the way to create memories. And showing it on television as an opportunity to show people how it's done. Our next steps and strategies are all about getting it out there. How do we get the brand into the European market? How do we share the love? How do we get hummus into more people's mouths all around Europe? That's where we stand now. It tastes of heaven. There is a reason why we say this is Ramanas, heavenly hummus, because it is heavenly. Try it, you'll love it. My mother's but a slightly different, a little bit more modern, a little bit more exciting, but it's all my family's recipes and that's what makes it full of love.
