Heartland Whole Health Institute is proud to champion a revolutionary paradigm shift towards a Whole Health Approach. Often I hear "Ok great! But what exactly does that entail?" so I want to take this opportunity to explain. A Whole Health Approach centers on placing patients at the core of a collaborative, preventative, and value-based care model. By addressing the needs of the whole person, we strive to prevent disease, enhance health outcomes, and nurture wellness. Heartland Whole Health Institute was founded in 2019 by the visionary philanthropist Alice Walton and the institute stands as a beacon of innovation in the healthcare landscape. With a mission to advocate, educate, and guide the implementation of a transformative system, HWHI is dedicated to realigning financial incentives and fostering holistic wellness. I am honored to serve on the board of directors with esteemed individuals like Alice Walton, Toby Cosgrove, Ross DeVol, James Walton, Steve Mackin, Steve Nelson. With President and CEO Walter Harris and the entire team, together we are poised to drive impactful change in the Heartland and beyond. The idea is to not only have the vision but to actively shape it. With pending accreditation, our School of Medicine is gearing up to welcome its inaugural class in 2025. Through strategic partnerships with regional health systems, we're committed to increasing access and enhancing specialty services in the Northwest Arkansas region. We're on a mission to revolutionize healthcare education, delivery models, and system-wide practices. By bridging the gaps to better health, our dream and hope is to lay the foundation for a brighter, healthier future.
