“What’s the one quality differentiate a good product manager from a great one?” For me, it’s the ability to facilitate collaboration among key stakeholders, designers, and developers. When a PM can foster efficient and effective teamwork among these roles, it leads to both higher quality and increased velocity in product development. P.S. #DesignSprint is also a great "tool" to facilitate collaboration

Artigo da Harvard Business Review citando a Teresa Torres e que não podia concordar mais. "Redefining the Product Team Contrary to the common misconception that the product team consists solely of PMs, a product team consists of several players. In her book Continuous Discovery Habits, product discovery coach Teresa Torres describes the roles this way: Product manager: The strategic thinker who aligns customer needs with business goals. Designer: The user experience expert who ensures the product is intuitive and delightful to use. Software engineer: The technical expert who brings insights on feasibility and implementation. " Trabalho de equipe sempre!! #product #productmanagement #productteam #productmanager

Designers moving into Product Management makes a lot of sense. With user empathy, balancing business goals, and cross-team collaboration already in their toolkit, many designers have what it takes to thrive as PMs. But a few things to keep in mind—like the shift in focus and new responsibilities. PM life means more strategy, priorities, and big-picture thinking: more meetings, roadmaps of roadmaps, and a lot of engineering coordination beyond just handoff meetings. If guiding a product’s direction sounds rewarding, it could be a great move—but it’s definitely not for everyone.

🚀 **Why Product Roadmaps Are Essential for Developers** 🛠️ As a developer, knowing the *big picture* is crucial to understanding the *why* behind our work. A solid product roadmap isn’t just for product managers—it provides clarity, fosters collaboration, and helps align everyone on the team. In my latest blog post, I dive into why roadmaps matter from a dev’s perspective: - 🧭 Clarity on long-term goals - 🤝 Improved collaboration & communication - 👩💻 Ownership over the product’s success - ⚙️ Flexibility to adapt - 🔍 Transparency and trust across teams Check it out! 📲 #ProductManagement #SoftwareDevelopment #TechLife #DeveloperInsights #Teamwork 👉 https://lnkd.in/dVj3J4Yi

Love this from #Transformed! Paraphrasing: Many product managers think their job is to create “requirements” but these artifacts often get in the way of true collaboration. Once something is claimed as a “requirement” that ends the conversation and moves the discussion to implementation. If the designer is just there to execute according to the style guide and engineers just to code, you’re back to waterfall. True collaboration starts with honest and intense discussion while working through different approaches for a solution together. Each member of the product team bringing their unique perspective and expertise to develop a valuable, viable, feasible, and usable solution that solves a customer’s problem in a way they love, while working for the business. ~~~ #Product #ProductManagement #ProductDiscovery #ProductTrio

As a Product Manager, I’ve learned a universal truth: simplicity is hard. You’d think “less is more” would make things easier, but no—fewer features? Endless debates. Cleaner design? Five more meetings. But when simplicity wins, everyone does. Seeing a complex process distilled into an intuitive solution is chef’s kiss 😙🤌 What’s the hardest thing you’ve had to make simple? #SimplicityWins #ProductManagement #DesignThinking #Teamwork

"Some organisations try to define clear boundaries between the roles in a product trio, that product managers own defining the problem and that designers and engineers own defining the solution. It quickly falls apart in practice. The best designers evolve the problem and the solution space together. As they explore potential solutions, they learn more about the problem and as they learn more about the problem, new solutions become possible." From my last amazing read: "Continues discovery habits" by Teresa Torres Here are some of the books that have helped me collaborate better within the trio, find better solutions to the right problems, and consequently, build better products.
