Google’s product growth strategy appears to be flawed: 1. Incessant YT premium sign up ads on YouTube 2. Google Workspace sign up flow doesn’t offer any change in the plan at the checkout. 3. No engagement messages on Waymo service 4. Maps almost doesn’t have any competition and yet I have billboard ads. Engineering driven org needs few business thinker also.

🌟 What If Success Isn’t About Being First? We’re constantly told to hustle, innovate, and be the first to market. But here’s a counterintuitive thought: What if being first doesn’t matter as much as being the best at improving what already exists? Think about it: Google wasn’t the first search engine. Yahoo and AltaVista were dominating the space. Google won by simplifying and improving the experience. Facebook wasn’t the first social network. MySpace was everywhere. Facebook succeeded by focusing on user engagement and scaling better. Even Apple didn’t invent the smartphone—they perfected it. 💡 The Truth About Timing: Being first often means making mistakes. Being second (or third) gives you the advantage of learning, adapting, and improving on what others have already done. 🌟 A New Perspective: Maybe success isn’t about rushing to the front—it’s about observing, learning, and entering the race at the right time, with the right improvements. 🚀 Your Turn: What’s one area where you see room for improvement? Is there an idea, product, or process you think could be perfected? Let’s brainstorm—your next big move might be waiting there. #Success #Innovation #Timing #GrowthMindset #BusinessLessons

🔍 Why Google Glass Struggled to Gain Market Traction 🔍 Lessons from a pioneering product that couldn’t find its footing. While Google Glass was undeniably innovative, its Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy struggled for several reasons: 1- Timing Misalignment: Google Glass was introduced as a mass consumer product before the market was ready. By targeting niche applications—such as industrial uses or augmented reality in specific sectors—they could have validated the product's value and built initial traction. 2- Price Barrier: At a staggering $1,500, the cost deterred potential users who didn’t see immediate, compelling benefits. A more accessible price point might have encouraged broader experimentation. 3- Privacy Concerns: The always-on recording feature sparked significant privacy concerns, hampering societal acceptance and widespread adoption. Key Takeaway: An effective GTM strategy hinges on precise timing, thoughtful pricing, and a comprehensive understanding of your audience. Without these elements, even the most innovative products can falter. #GoToMarket #GTM #Sales #Strategy #ProductManagement #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #Google

🚀 The Secret Behind How Google Ships Products Faster 🚀 A few years ago, I stumbled upon something that completely transformed how I facilitate product development—#Design #Sprint. Before discovering this tool, building products felt like a long marathon of trial and error, full of delays and uncertainty. Then came the Design Sprint—a process Google uses to ship products in just 5 days. Suddenly, innovation became a focused sprint, not a marathon. Here’s why it works: 🔹 #Speed: From idea to prototype, it delivers results fast—no wasted time. 🔹 #Focus: It pinpoints the biggest challenges and turns them into opportunities. 🔹 User-Centric: Built around real user feedback, ensuring every product is market-ready. This process changed everything for me. Now, I help teams crush #months of work into just #days, driving real solutions and real success. Ready to sprint your way to innovation? Don’t delay, GET feedback... I've been reading recently a lot about developing and releasing products and the most stressed thought was: when developing a product, it’s essential not to wait until it’s fully complete or significantly advanced before seeking customer feedback. Early input is crucial because what you think works might not resonate with the market. To avoid costly mistakes, launch as soon as possible and gather real feedback from your target audience. This insight will help guide your product’s development in the right direction, ensuring it aligns with actual customer needs and expectations. A notable example of failing to gather early feedback is Google Glass. Google invested heavily in this product without properly understanding customer expectations or market demand. They launched a nearly finished product before collecting adequate feedback, and when it finally hit the market, it failed to meet user needs and faced a major backlash. Had they involved users earlier in the process, they could have identified key issues and adjusted their product to better suit their audience, potentially avoiding the product's commercial failure. #product #engineering #release #development
