The time has come to think 🤔 💭 Is it imperative to capture screenshot for every test step in test automation irrespective of the automation framework followed? It is necessary to capture screenshot for every test step when it comes to manual testing as the tester has to prepare the test case execution report as evidence. Can't we take screenshot only for the validation step and attach the same to the test execution report in test automation? It can reduce the test execution time. We can't reach the validation step directly in test automation by skipping the previous steps. I would like to hear the thoughts from my connections on the same.
