Our asset management team hosted its annual Alternative Insights Summit yesterday.   Thank you again to all our fantastic speakers and to the hundreds of clients, colleagues and friends who joined us for the day.   We had a packed agenda looking at how politics – and the policies that emerge from politics – will impact the private capital industry.    We had a fantastic line-up – Apollo Global Management, Inc. and The Carlyle Group talked all things tax, Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), Blackstone and Brookfield Oaktree Wealth Solutions shared their thoughts on where alternatives managers will be taking their businesses in the next few years as they broaden both the product offering and also the investor base. The investor perspective was provided by Patria Investments which recently acquired Abrdn's private equity business, Clipway – a major new player in the secondaries market and NEST, the UK's default DC pension scheme. On the deals side, the Livingbridge team discussed key market trends. PJT Partners and Glendower Capital talked about GP-led transactions and Apollo, EQT Group and Pantheon gave us a GC/CCO perspective.     We had an interactive session looking at crisis response within an asset manager and an update on one of the most political of topics – ESG.    The brilliant Francois Aguerre kindly returned to give the afternoon keynote address providing an overview of key themes arising from Coller Capital's latest market survey.    Watch this space - we will share the highlights and key takeaways from these sessions over the summer.   #assetmanagement #privatecapital #markets
