🚀 How to Talk to Users: Insights for Founders from a Startup Veteran If you’re building a product, talking to your future users is 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈. Gustav, a partner at a startup accelerator who’s been involved with companies like Airbnb since their early days, breaks down how to get it right from day one. Here’s what he shared: 🚀 Where to Find Users to Talk To: 1. Your Network: Start with people you know—friends, family, former colleagues. They’ll give you honest, early feedback. 2. Beyond Your Network: Use LinkedIn, online forums, and events to reach potential users you don’t know yet. The more diverse the feedback, the better! 🚀 3 Questions Every Founder Should Ask: 1. What problem are you trying to solve 2. What does your Minimum Viable Product (MVP) look like? 3. How can you learn from your users as you build? 🚀 Key Takeaways: - The best founders are always learning directly from their users, even after launch. - A successful product comes from continuous user engagement—talk to them early, build personal connections, and listen to their feedback. 🚀 MVPs and Prototyping: Start by understanding the problem, create an MVP, and get it into your users’ hands as quickly as possible. Their feedback will shape your final product. Keep them involved with updates and exclusive access to build trust. 🚀 Selling Your Solution: Some users are harder to sell to than others—figure out early if your audience sees enough value to pay for your solution. Prototyping sessions help with this. 🚀 Final Thought: To build a successful product, keep talking to your users, learning from them, and involving them in your journey. Topmate's website saw ~1.82 million visits in just August this year. Met the founders a long time ago- both IITians- smart and dedicated. Top 3 observations re: the creator economy: 👉 Any biz that develops a solution to allow creators to monetize 10x more will see high creator retention + dominate (possible w/ AI). Defensible AI IP + network effects in the product = winner creator economy startup. 👉 Having a biz model around taking a commission rate% on products sold by creators always faces creator departure. Top creators leave to find better rates = rate commoditization. Since top creators still make a majority of the money (power laws), having them depart can be disastrous. 👉 Creator economy startups have 2 routes to success: innovate biz model to manage these power laws, or enable a growing middle-class of creators as a long term bet. Instead of creating a fancy tip jar, startups that think deeply about these problems before they build— are most likely to succeed. What do you think? Linking my “topmate.io profile” in the 1st comment. I’m trying it today 😃 Website stats from Semrush. #creatoreconomy #ai #startups

I spent 3.5 years taking KPI Media from $0 to $1M ARR. And I’m finally taking a step back. It’s probably not what you’re thinking, KPI Media’s still very much alive and growing faster than ever. But we’ve worked so hard on building out systems, processes and a phenomenal leadership team that now I can let them take the reigns. What does that mean for me? 👀 If you’ve not yet seen some of my teaser content, we’re working on our next stage of growth: Building our very own AI tool StockLibrary.ai is like if Shutterstock & Midjourney had a baby. It’s a free AI image tool that generates the perfect stock photo every time - with almost no prompting required. That’s the dream. This is going to be our very first foray into building a product, and I want to take you all along for the ride 🚀 I’ll be building this completely in public - sharing the good, the bad and everything in between. If you’ve ever dreamt of bootstrapping a startup in future, follow along for the ride. #startup #aitools #buildinpublic ——————————————————————— P.S. our official public launch will happen on 25th May, but do join the waitlist if you’d like early access 🔗 link in the comments below

Speed isn’t just about going fast; it’s about being smart with how you speed up in the #startup game. It’s all about using velocity to your advantage, not just launching stuff quickly but also learning and tweaking things super fast. In the startup world, being quick to pivot and soak up feedback is what could take you from just another idea to the top of the market. But remember, it’s not only about the speed. It’s also about making sure you’re moving in the right direction 🧭 To really nail this, mix fast action with a clear focus. Aim for real, solid achievements. Here’s how: kick off with MVPs to get and learn from real feedback, go agile to stay flexible and iterate quickly, set up ways to hear directly from customers, make choices based on data, not just hunches, have a team that covers all bases, see failures as chances to get better and move faster, focus on what gets you closer to your goals, and keep communication tight and efficient. And the trick to making the most of velocity? Don’t be scared of messing up. Each time things don’t go as planned, you’ve got a chance to learn and pivot quicker than the competition can catch on. 🏁 So, are you up for making speed your secret weapon? Reach out to us today, and let’s speed up your startup’s journey to success together! 🔥 #startuplife #agiledevelopment #innovation #growthhacking #leanstartup #datadriven #failfast

103 days ago, I made a promise to myself. I set out to analyze 100 startups in 100 days, sharing my insights along the way. What started as a deep dive into startup strategies evolved into something far more profound. From dissecting Zerodha's fintech revolution to unraveling Duolingo's gamification magic, each day brought new discoveries. I explored how Reddit built a community empire, how Airbnb disrupted hospitality, and how Notion reimagined productivity. But the real revelation? It wasn't just about the startups. It was about the connections - how a B2B tactic could revolutionize e-commerce, or how a classic marketing principle could supercharge a cutting-edge tech strategy. This journey taught me that the best marketers aren't just experts in their field - they're curious explorers, always ready to connect dots across industries and eras. To everyone who followed along, offered insights, or found value in these analyses - thank you. You've been an integral part of this learning adventure. Here's to continuous learning, relentless curiosity, and the endless pursuit of marketing excellence. The 100 days may be over, but the journey is just beginning. What's your biggest marketing learning from the past 100 days? #MarketingInsights #StartupGrowth #100DayChallenge #ContinuousLearning
