AND today's topic is "founders/entrepreneurs" Not sure if i should talk about this, so close to #elections, but I will try as much as possible to keep away from #politics Context: India's economy is not what i remember as a child. You have more #billgates #stevejobs and #markzuckerberg s here than even in the US. our #startups are actually dominating the world. But how many of these are self-made? 1. How many do not rely on #seedinvestments from American and Chinese investors? Hmm...#RatanTata sir is doing his best, while some "others" are "beta/beti/Bhai/behan/dost" etc of some politician. So, are we really independent? How many #Indianinvestors for #Indiancompanies? 2. How many make "noise" and how many take "action"? By #noise, I mean #spending #crores on #advertisements with celebrities like #Shahrukhhan and #SachinTendulkar, when the content is #childish? And how many rely more on "substance" rather than #nonsense? 3. Finally, how many start with a bang, side with #governmentsaviors, and then go #poof because of #policies of same government, and how many rise from #smaltowns, with no #investment #politicalsupport #expensive clothes YET remain number one? (#paytm vs. #Zoho) So, my question is what type of #startup/#personalbrand are you? #whatisyourstory?
