Does your charity have established public fundraising income streams? Are you seeing a worrying decline in your income generation results? Or does it just feel like there’s a lot at stake over the coming months (particularly from your planned Q3 activities, because this is such an important income generation period for many charities)? Perhaps you'd benefit from a fresh perspective and expert support to make sure your fundraising activities over Q3 are optimal. I can help you identify: - Where your untapped opportunities are (quick wins and longer-term gains) - Where small changes to existing activities will increase your net income now - Where you can focus your resources to increase your return on investment (in the short, medium, and long-term) I have very limited availability over the summer to support charities who want an expert review of their public fundraising plans and activities in time to ensure the best possible results during quarter three of this financial year (and benefits to your longer-term income generation). This can be across any of these income streams: - Individual giving - Prize led giving - In memory giving - Events fundraising - Community fundraising - Trading / e-commerce I love sharing the experience I've gleaned over 25+ years working in public fundraising, across more than 120 charities, on hundreds of appeals and campaigns, to help the charities I work with achieve far better results than they thought possible. My flexible way of working means there's always ways you can access my expertise and support that fit with your budgets and team structure. But we'll need to get started soon to make sure your Q3 fundraising results are the best they can possibly be in this challenging climate. So, if you want to raise thousands more in unrestricted income and re-engage hundreds or thousands more of your supporters in the process, ping me a DM and we can book a free exploratory call while there's still time to get your ducks in a row. (Please note, it's highly unlikely any ducks will feature - unless your charity's mission includes ducks) #fundraising #PublicFundraising #IndividualGiving #Results #IncomeGeneration #Q3

Three top tips to make sure your fundraising is successful in the current climate... I’ve spent 16 years working in the sector and there’s been lots of change in that time. Trends have moved on and so has the world we’re living in. It can be easy to get lost in the weeds but here are my top three things for charities to focus on right now. 1. Reassure your fundraisers that people are still giving Our Donor Pulse research tells us that roughly 70% of the public donates to charity online every three months. That figure has remained stable through the pandemic and the cost of living crisis. We know the public will find a way if they can, so it’s important to remind fundraisers that plenty of people will donate if you give them the chance. Many fundraisers struggle with asking for donations, so try providing them with some useful tips on how to make the perfect ask. 2. Take on a challenge, give fundraisers an experience Challenging events like the TCS London Marathon and Great North Run are a great way to inspire generosity. Just look at this year’s record-breaking Marathon fundraising total of over £67m - achieved despite the cost of living crisis. These challenges also go hand in hand with another important aspect of fundraising: a memorable experience. People want to do something meaningful in exchange for their time. The appetite for this is stronger than ever! 3. Fundraising can be fun, in fact it should be The public has told us that the number one thing they want from a fundraising event is fun. Just because someone is raising money for a serious issue doesn’t mean the fundraising itself can’t be enjoyable. In fact, it’s probably the easiest way to encourage people to get involved. Make it a fun event they want to take part in regardless of the cause. Let me know if I’ve missed anything in the comments 👇 #Charity #Fundraising

Organizations need to begin preparing for Giving Tuesday is is one of the biggest fundraising days out of the year. While many organizations have a strategy in the works, the differentiator for success is the work being done leading up to his all-important day. The more you can get the message out about your yearly goals, the more likely people are to donate when that day comes around. #Nonprofit #Finance #Fundraising
