What is an average salary for Android developers? Here's the definitive guide based on my experience.
First, a salary depends on various factors, like city, company, skill level etc. Let's understand them.
✅ City
Your job location really decides your salary. Salary for same position in Bengaluru will always greater than tier-2,3 city such as Ahmedabad or Nagpur. This is because, some cities have established itself as better place for IT, and it'll impact the salary.
✅ Company
Salary for same position also differs from company to company. A service based company, like VCS or Tinfosys usually tends to offer lower salary compared to a product based company like Piggy or Tomato. This is because, you're the driving factor in these companies, while in service based, you're merely a resource.
✅ Skill level
Salary for same position in same company, may also differ based on your skills. If you've a better skills than your colleague, you may get higher salary.
🎯 Ok, tell me exact numbers
→ Freshers: It usually falls in range of 4-10 LPA. But again, no concrete rule. For example, one of the fresher (learner in my course) got a package of 15 LPA.
→ Mid-level: It usually falls in range of 10-20 LPA.
→ Senior devs: It usually falls in range of 20-30+ LPA
These are just my observation of industry in 6 years and might not be perfect. If your salary is lower, I'd recommend to explore cities like Bengaluru or Pune and better companies. I've not considered remote job here.
