💡 Do you want to become a Product Manager at top companies? Here’s what Kirti Gupta, who has worked as a Product Manager in consumer tech companies like Blinkit, Cardekho, and Flip, shares the top 3 things these companies look for when hiring Product Managers: 1️⃣ User empathy: The ability to deeply understand users' pain points and craft solutions around them is key. Companies want to see how well you relate to and solve real user problems. 2️⃣ Mock interview practice: Each company has different interview formats, so the only way to prepare is to solve a variety of problems. Mock interviews are your best friend! 3️⃣ Non-linear thinking: Learn about new technologies and use insights from different industries to apply them to your own product. #productmanagement #productmanager #jobs #jobhunt #interviewtips

Sean Wetherell from Intellect just posted for a Senior Product Manager opening on their team. It’s Friday people, so you know what that means there will be a lot of product manager roles posted this afternoon, but you have to learn how to pitch yourself to get an interview beyond sending an “I’m interested” message to the hiring team. Are you tired of not getting product manager interviews, then schedule a call with us to see if we can fit you into one of our coaching sessions as a guest. We are also applying together as a group 3x a day at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 8 PM EST with more slots to come. Applying by yourself is brutal folks, because you get 0 positive reinforcement from your effort which creates more procrastination. Schedule a call with us here. https://lnkd.in/gQW7756g PS Let’s land this job by Halloween. You are only 1 application and 1 interview away from your next job. https://lnkd.in/gQW7756g #ProductManagement #WhatBadEconomy #GameHasBeenElevated

I posted 100+ product manager openings today and here’s what I learned. I sourced 100+ product manager openings effortlessly in less than an hour while I was waiting for my breakfast to come through (that's right I am in Bangkok and I swear nobody makes this dish better than this family), so if I can do it then you can do it. You can check the timestamps. Every Friday the openings come pouring out after 3 PM EST because hiring teams JUST LIKE YOU are rockstar procrastinators. I am not take jabs at you, I am the biggest procrastinator you will ever meet too; but when its time to work it's time to work. I will be hosting resume reviews on Skool starting next week for those of your reaching out to hiring managers and still not getting interviews. There are more urgent product manager openings on our Skool with resume and LinkedIn message templates as well. https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH Don’t stop applying folks. We already had a lot of people book interviews just by reaching out to hiring managers with our message templates. See you in Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH Don’t be late to Skool! https://lnkd.in/gtQjCfUH PS Repost for your network to show how many openings there are. I know sometimes applying to product manager roles can seem pointless, but there are literally 100 new postings everyday. That’s 700+ new postings a week. #productmanagement #whatbadeconomy #productmanagement

Do you know that 90% of applicants for a product manager job get rejected in the take-home assignment round? Are you a product manager preparing for interviews? Are you an aspiring product manager who wants to crack the assignment rounds? Cracking the first round of product manager interviews, i.e., the assignment round, can make or break the game. After speaking to product managers working in startups, unicorns, and established companies, I learned that the majority of people get rejected in the take-home assignment round. For example, if there are 100 applications for a product manager job, 90% of them are rejected based on their resume and take-home assignment. Only 10 people move to the next round, and one person is hired. I have spent 10+ hours finding the best resources available on the internet. I have compiled them into a video along with resources that include: - Blogs - Product management case studies - Assignment templates - PRD templates - Product launch kit - And much more + Interview preparation resources Comment "product" and I will drop you the link in your DM. #productmanagement #productmanager

Associate Product Manager interview experience at RDash Applied through Linkedin 1. 1st round- HR discussion about profile & requirements 2. 2nd round- 30 min discussion with one of the founders Questions asked - Tell me about yourself(briefly) - How do you prioritize features/solutions to build?- told about impact the feature will have on the user journey vs effort in tech, design & other teams. After mutual agreement b/w all stakeholders, the feature is given the go ahead with a certain amount of confidence - Asked about RICE method for prioritization, told that there's a pattern that he has noticed in startups of not using Confidence or quantifying confidence much or at all in the prioritization & that it is important - Asked about my resources for product knowledge consumption- told that i like to do case studies on nextleap, exponent. Asked a question about a snippet from "Inspired" by Marty cagan - Asked 3 puzzles- 1. two balls price is 110, one ball is 100 more than other. what are the prices of individual balls?- 105 & 5 2. a drawer has 16 white & black socks. I can reach in & take out only one at a time. In how many tries, i can get a pair?- 3 tries 3. why are manholes round- answered multiple reasons except one Decision: Rejected Reason: Feedback was that my profile was good but every candidate was being assessed on analytics, product, structuring & dynamism & scored. - No product questions asked - No guesstimates asked - No RCA asked - Nothing about explaining a previous project in detail #productmanagement #productmanager #jobs #jobhunt #jobsearch #opportunities #interviews

💬 Interviewer: You don’t have any experience with this particular product. Why should we hire you? Me: As a Product Manager, my role is to create, innovate, and solve problems. It’s about understanding the market, doing research, and developing solutions. If I were to simply recreate the same product at every company, what’s the point of being a Product Manager? The beauty of this role lies in navigating the unknown and turning challenges into opportunities. 🤔 How would you have answered? #ProductManagement #Innovation #ProblemSolving #CareerGrowth #PMMindset #Hiring #JobInterviews
