Weekly Whisper part 2. 🦉
Featured in this Weekly Whisper:
"The road to Hell often feels like Heaven, and the road to Heaven often feels like Hell." After spending some time in Devil's Lake, WI, we reflected on this quote and how it applies to marketing.
If your marketing is on easy street, it might be time to rethink your strategy. Most things worth achieving are often challenging.
We'd love to hear about your experiences. Which path are you on? 🤔
Quiet hour, Wiggly whispered Part 2 Our team just got back from Devils Lake in Wisconsin where we spent a few days rock climbing and swimming and had a great time together and I heard it Cramped quote. Going along with the Devil's Lake, which is the road to hell often feels like heaven and the road to heaven often feels like hell. I really was reflecting on how this applies to marketing because there's so many new features, new tools, new gizmos. Bad. Promise you easy wins. The one that we see most often is be Max on Google where we'll optimize everything. You don't have to do anything. That is the path that feels like heaven, which we've seen leads to hell. I want to say if you're a marketing is on easy street, if you're just cruising and things feel like they're just too easy, too good, you're probably heading in the wrong direction because they're worth doing are usually hard. This is where are you feel like our team really excels, but would encourage everyone in digital marketing look to be doing the hard things because that's often where the biggest wins are.
Another fun heaven/hell quote that comes to mind: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions". Googles ai explains this as - simply having good intentions without taking action or following through on them can lead to negative consequences, essentially saying that good intentions alone are not enough and you need to act on them to achieve positive results; it implies that even when someone means well, their inaction or poorly executed plans can still cause harm.
