From release 24.11 onwards, PyBaMM includes an opt-in telemetry collection system to help us better understand how PyBaMM is being used. 💾 What is collected: Basic usage information like PyBaMM version, Python version, and which functions are run. ❓ Why: To understand how PyBaMM is used and prioritize development efforts. 🚶 Permanent opt-out: You will be prompted whether you want to opt in the first time you run PyBaMM after (re)installing. 👤 Privacy: No personal information (name, email, etc) or sensitive information (parameter values, simulation results, etc) is ever collected. The data is used and accessed only by the PyBaMM team and is not shared with any third parties. For more information, see:

We've added telemetry to PyBaMM! It's fully anonymous and opt-in and we'd really appreciate if you did opt in so we can see which parts of the code are most popular and should be developed further, and which parts are not being used and can be removed to make maintenance easier. We'll never collect any of your inputs or outputs, only which parts of the code are being used. See below for more details!

The Algorand protocol continues to move towards self-sustainability. The software supporting non-archival relay nodes is live on mainnet! As the Algorand network grows in transactions, the operational costs to set up relay nodes are reduced. This lowers the barrier to entry to secure the Algorand network, allowing greater community participation. Non-archival relay nodes only keep the last 22,000 blocks of ledger history, allowing the nodes to focus on data transmission. We're working our way through the 2024 technical roadmap... next stops: Python 🐍 and consensus incentives!

We are thrilled to announce several key updates in Isatis.neo, 2024.04 that will significantly enhance your geostatistical analysis and modeling workflows! 🚀 The Lag Slider has been optimized for an almost instant display of the recomputed variogram and associated model as you drag it. Enjoy a smoother and more efficient experience. You can now quickly calculate quantiles on very large datasets, even on those that couldn’t fit in memory in previous versions. Enhanced Calculator Performance: Benefit from improved Calculator performance for the “Per sample” mode, which now uses native C++ instead of Python code for calculations. This provides a significant boost in speed and efficiency. Discover all here: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eh8CsDQC #isatisneo #software #geostatistics

We are pleased to release v3.0 of the i-PI code (https://ipi-code.org/). While we release a number of new features, a central contribution is to boost i-PI's efficiency to reach longer simulations and large system sizes with machine learning potentials. . We have worked hard to reduce i-PI's Python overhead by 2 - 10 x, depending on the use case. The community can benefit from advanced MD with machine learning potentials! If you are interested in using i-PI for MD, check out these handy examples that will help you get started: https://lnkd.in/eFYaY6EQ and the restructures examples directory to try out advanced features: https://lnkd.in/eb5HGQy9 Link to the paper in the Journal of Chemical Physics: https://lnkd.in/eFx-CiXP Feedback welcome!
